when did life get so complex

So modern life is getting more and more complex. At one time you would go to the shop and buy a packet of, say biscuits. You took home the biscuits, ate them, and enjoyed them. Job done
Then it got to be the calorie content. Then it got to be how many syns for SW. Moving onto fat content for Rosemary Conley.
Things got more complicated when shops started BOGOF. Was it better to buy one packet in the Co-Op or two in Tesco? Cheaper with BOGOF but then two packets sitting in the cupboard shouting “eat me....eat me...”
Then there’s the wrapper business. Inner and outer packaging. Where do I throw it? Recycle or general.
Then, am I happy with the ethical background of this product. I boycott some manufacturers but with big companies buying out smaller ones and companies becoming part of huge organisations, it’s an effort to keep up.
So, I reconcile all this in my head. I find a pack of biscuits that I like. It fits with my current dietary regime (I know, I know-shouldn’t be eating biscuits).I’m happy to pay the going rate.
I buy the biscuits. Hurrah
I go home, make a coffee, break open the treat and turn on my laptop.
And there it is. Palm oil.
Maybe I should just give up on the biscuits

funny, I was thinking about the whole coffee thing today and decided it is the greatest ever con/money making thing invented.
Why are we all ordering in Italian?

you forgot the flat white MagicWriter grin

That sounds quite British oldbatty, but I first encountered one in Oz.
Why is it flat? It has froth on the top.

I had a hell of a flight to Prague because I had to rest my feet on the so- called carry on sized case of the person sitting next to me which wouldn't go in the overhead locker and impinged on my space. Was too meek to complain. I find booking tickets and checking in at airports, trying to find departure gates etc nightmarish. Anyone else feel this way?

This might help when ordering coffee grin

I hate going into coffee shops with avengance due to the rigmarole involved. Now if i am out i go to a Weatherspoons for coffee, just put your mug under the spout on the machine and press the button of choice, simples, oh and yes you get a free refill if you want it.
