Morning everyone.

I haven't opened the curtains yet, and it's stll only half light but it's mild for November in Kent.
We have roses and dahlias still producing buds and the geraniums are still looking good.
DH off to the plot soon and I wont get much done as DD coming and I will be too busy gossiping.
Have a good day

Good morning Nina, Annie and everyone. Still dark here in Birmingham, and it looks as though it has been raining all night. I’m looking forward to a quiet day today after my granddaughter’s second birthday party yesterday. I’ll have coffee with friends and browse the monthly craft market later, then a walk in the park followed by an afternoon on the sofa with a dvd I’ve just bought of an Italian film.

Good morning!
Heavy ran woke me up about half an hour ago and I am hoping it is not set to last, thinking of all those Remembrance Sunday processions and ceremonies all over the country.
DD1 has been staying (minus children!) so I hope she has had a restful nights sleep. After a couple of glasses of red wine and Strictly she went off for an early night - a rare occurrence I imagine.
Wishing you all a pleasant, and dry, day.

Morning all from North Leicestershire where it is quite mild.

Off to Suffolk for a couple of days having breakfast on the way. Then I aim to sit down a lot and watch the sea - with a bit of eating, drinking and sleeping.

Morning, folks!

There's a quiz in the Sunday Times app this morning about what kind of chronotype one is. I'm a "definitely morning" which I knew already. I went to bed at 1930 last night (extra tired because of scything early and then moving the fridge). Woke up at 6 this morning. I guess many of the early morning thread posters are 'definitely mornings' as well.

Today I have codweb removal and window cleaning in the outhouse planned.

Happy days, dudes!

Good Morning everyone and to those who follow. Bright here in Fife but damp. Not sure what today will bring. Same old story can never sleep at the weekends, reminds me of days when I worked. Unsure of plans yet but will be doing something. Thinking of all who gave up their lives so we could have one. Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.
We are up at DD's in Fife for the weekend. It looks a bit grey outside but at least it's not raining.
Off in to Edinburgh this afternoon and may get chance to see the names of the Fallen being shown on the Parliament building. It will take seven hours to show them all. What a terrible loss of life!
Going to see Noel Fitzpatrick, the television supervet, talk tonight. Guess he won't be doing an operation on stage!
Have a peaceful day everyone.

Hello brunette.

Good morning everyone, dry and bright in Lancashire, hope it stays that way for all the remembrance ceremonies.
Have a good day.

Morning Nina Kitty and All.

Damp and cool in West Sussex. We are going with our GSs to the Remembrance Parade and Service, then a kick around at the Rec. Off home in the afternoon after a full on weekend.

Pittcity Sun 11-Nov-18 07:56:08

Good morning from rainy Colchester. Hope it clears soon as we always go into our garrison town for the Remembrance parade and service. There are acts of remembrance from dawn to dusk today.

Good morning all. It's been a rainy night in East Northants but it's brightening up now. My trip to Wood Green animal shelter was a good one. Unfortunately I couldn't bring them all home - the car wasn't big enough! But I'm registered now for the next suitable candidate. It was lovely to spend an afternoon with DS2, who works long and hard and rarely takes time off. Tentative plans for today - it all depends on the weather. Hope it's a good one for everyone. I wonder what those amazing young people that we are paying tribute to today, would think of the world as it is now?

Good morning everyone, this morning from near Wellingborougb, as I am staying with DD after her Remembrance concert last night. It went very well and was much enjoyed by all. Bit grey here still, but a bit of blue sky is trying to peep through.
DD suggested a trip to the new out of town retail park a bit later, and I am not going to turn down a bit of retail therapy, and then home to find what mischief the cats have been up to.
Have a nice day everyone.

Goodmorning all x

Dull and damp here in SE Essex.

Another day of sorting out "stuff" It really is embarrassing to see all what we have accumulated in the 30 years we have been in this house!!

Wishing you all a peaceful and reflective Remembrance Sunday poppy

cornergran Sun 11-Nov-18 08:08:02

Morning Nina, morning All. Sky is clearing in our corner of Somerset, fairly mild I think and for once not too windy. Off later to one of the pages of the sea events. Good wishes to all.

Alygran Sun 11-Nov-18 08:11:49

Good morning from a grey North Yorkshire. Hope it brightens up a bit but the high winds have dropped. Remembrance service this morning with open air act of remembrance on the village green.
Lunch with a friend then back for beacon lighting and fireworks this evening followed by the armistice party.
Have a peaceful day everyone.

Hello Oldgoat!

travelsafar Sun 11-Nov-18 08:16:09

We have black clouds, raindrops on the windows but some blue sky as well so hoping the rain holds off for all the services taking place this morning. I have heard that white doves will be released at our local outdoor service, very poignant if that is true, i will find out a bit later as planning on attending.

harrigran Sun 11-Nov-18 08:23:55

Good morning from the NE where it is damp underfoot but not actually raining.
Had a very hot afternoon packing boxes at our other home, DH had set the thermostat too high on the heating and had been running on maximum for a couple of weeks. Upside is there was not a spot of dampness.

Good morning all from a damp Glasgow.
Having an easy day today, just pottering about.
I'm feeling pretty ropey after flu jab, it never usually affects me.
What a night of horrible dreams. I have been castigating DH for abandoning me (in the dream) at Standstead airport with someone else's boarding card and flying off to Geneva, without checking I was on the plane!!! grin. It all seemed so real. Where that came from, I don't know. confused.
Old Goat, I was just thinking of you and wondered how you were. I hope the building work is finished.
Kitty enjoy your trip.
Happy Sunday, everyone. I'm off to chill with the papers.

Morning all , damp and chilly out .

Gagagran Sun 11-Nov-18 08:30:07

Morning all. Late to the thread today but better late than never.

Had a disturbed night with torrential and noisy rain beating on the bedroom window. My thoughts always go to the poor souls sleeping rough in weather like this and I am hugely thankful for a warm cosy bed.

The musical play I went to yesterday afternoon, about a local family who sent four sons to WW1, was very moving and wonderfully done. They even managed to have a trench with soldiers on a small stage with no curtains. A small band played music of the time, which evoked the atmosphere and emotions. It was very well done.

Today, like many others, I will be thinking of those lost too young, including my Great Uncle Ernest. I have his medals.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. poppypoppypoppy

Good morning to you all..bit late today as been checking availability of town parking! DH is taking DGD to her football match but it will be busy in town due to the Town Parade. Of course game may be cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch! Sunny now but boy dod it rain last night!

EllanVannin Sun 11-Nov-18 08:46:29

Good morning Everyone x
Dull damp but not cold here in the North West.
My " poorly " cat greeted me by tapping his paws on my face this morning so after 48hrs of worrying about him he's now better and ate his breakfast. What a relief !
