My Dyson is brilliant!

I've recently bought the Dyson. Jury still out.
It lasts a very short time before needing recharged which then takes hours.
It doesn't like rough stuff or hair. It has a filter which needs to be washed out frequently.
Yes it's lightweight but maybe better for a house which doesn't get dirty.
My DD has a shark and swears by it.

I broke my hip about 18 months ago. OH had to do the hovering, he couldn't push my Dyson rollarball, apparently too heavy!!!! We bought a rechargeable, light weight Dyson, and I have to confess that it's brilliant!! Lots of additional tools, easy to use, easy to empty, recharges with no problems. I am very pleased with it.

I like the lightness of the Dyson, but when my German Shepherd granddug comes to visit, it needs emptied very frequently. Her humans have a Shark, and swear by it.

We bought a Dyson a couple of weeks ago. I love it. We live in a two bedroomed flat, mainly carpeted , and it works very well. It's light and easy to manoeuvre. My daughter's both have Dysons and swear by them. It was on their recommendations that we bought one.

I have the vax cordless, my poor Henry stays in the cupboard now.....so light to carry up and down stairs....hoovers up pretty well and can do the whole house in one go without charging between.....so pleased I got one

We have a Dyson and find it really good. I use it mainly for bathroom and kitchen floor plus the odd bit of tidying up and use a bigger non cordless Dyson for the main carpet cleaning.

I love our cordless Dyson. We have two dogs (often 3) and 2 toddlers, plus lots of visitors. It works brilliantly. The charge lasts 20 mins which is enough to do the house, if you move quickly. It does carpets, wooden/karndean/laminate and stone floors.
It weighs nothing and was worth every penny.

I love my GTECH, just keep forgetting to put it on charge!

I recently bought a G Tech and love it. Light in weight, easy to use and picks up well. My DD had a dysentery but much prefers mine. Good luck in your choice.

I love my Dyson it’s so light and cleans my whole house, I love that I can use it short or long it’s so adaptable and comes with lots of tools.

Dyson........Does 3 bedrooms ( double) and the stairs in one go........

I have a Dyson cordless but then won a Shark in a GN competition so I can compare the two.Dyson is light but lacks the power of the Shark so I keep it upstairs where it's carpet and only the two of us .The Shark has 2 batteries so a much longer run time.It is heavier but more robust to tackle the downstairs with it's different flooring types and much more traffic in and out.If I had to give one up it would be the Dyson.

I have a dyson. The charge on mine lasts about 45 minutes, and takes about three hours to recharge. I live in a house with both carpets and wooden floors. It even gets right under the desk in my hall.

I have a Dyson, largely for upstairs, but use it more than the big one now. Big one still used for a major blitz, though - Dyson doesn't last long enough.

One tip if you get a Dyson - the filter needs washing very regularly or it stops working properly - and the filter can take 24 hours to dry. We ordered a spare - £12 IIRC - why on earth they don't provide a spare as standard I don't know.

Shark for me it's a powerful beast that doesn't require much effort to do the job.

I bought a lightweight Dyson a couple of years ago which came with a bag of useful attachments and find it extremely effective. It gets right up to the edges and into the corners as well. It does need charging again after about 20 minutes but I live in a small flat and don't have the energy to keep going for long so its perfect.

I have a Vax much cheaper than a Dyson recharges quickly & is good to use on tiles,carpet or wooden floors
Long bit detached so you can use it to vacuum car too
