OK icanhandthemback my definition of a disagreement is an exchange of views or opinions that reveals that you don't agree about an issue. Such exchanges can be interesting and enlightening even though you may never agree. But nobody is hurt or upset.

But if that exchange becomes heated, confrontational, provocative, petty or aggressive, it is then an argument which could result in distress for either or both parties, and still no agreement!

I don't have a dictionary to hand to check the definitions so that's just my view - others may disagree!!

Thank you Happysexagenarian, you must both be very laid back people. I wish I could be like that!

Nanny41 I don't think so for even a minute and in any case de nile is not just a river in Egypt! The joys and fun of making up are not to be underestimated either and would be a sad thing to miss out on.
