What couldn't you do without?

Another thread we have had before ( recently) but my answer is the same tea, marmalade and gin.

My small black handled knife.
It was something of a joke between me and my daughter that I was always saying "Hand me my small black handled knife!".

My potato peeler. I used to take it on self catering holidays !

Mine too is a knife, I have had it for over 20 years. I have tried many others but always go back to the one I am comfortable with.

My Kindle!

My PC i do so much on the computer, Open university, secretarial work for my bowls club, facebook and messenger to family and friends, GN of course, read the BBC new page and just general browsing and sometimes purchasing things online.

Don't know what I put last time, but it would be The Wonderful Man I'm married to. He's been away a lot recently and the household ticks along just the same, but he's so good to have around.
(Yes, I know you meant an item, but I'm missing him today, and having him around certainly makes my life easier.)

My iPad and morning three mugs of tea

A metal dish my mother had for cooking chops, fish etc. It is easy to wash and can go under the grill or in the oven. When I saw my 47 year old niece recently I told her that I would pass it on the her in a year or so, I want it to stay in the family.

At the moment my fan, I have it on almost 24/7, I really don't cope well with the heat.

I too love my small black handled knife.lol. But I think I'd have to say my Earl Grey tea!

Lemon, I too couldn't be without tea and gin - it's nice to know they are there. Another thing is my large china mug for tea. I do dislike fiddly little cups or small mugs. I really couldn't do without all my tablets, but I do wonder sometimes if I flushed them all down the loo, would I feel more energetic? I'd add my computer to that list too.

My varifocal specs!

My bra, my glasses and my teeth.

My varifocals, emery boards (my nails are forever breaking), my HRT pills and most of all, my family.

I don’t understand how people manage without nail brushes either.

My IPad! It is my window to the world. I use it for news,
text messaging, online orders, online classes and as an up-to-date encyclopedia. I also use it for ordering and reading ebooks. I also use a weather app to watch the weather. I would be lost without it.

My old fashioned diary and a pen to go with it, they go everywhere with me and I would feel lost without them as apart from dates, appointments etc. I have lots of scribbled notes that are important just to me. Also my Mothers little kitchen knife which I inherited when she died in 1995, I’ve never cooked a Christmas or Sunday dinner without it since.

My left handed bread knife. When we were living between two homes in 2016/17, my trusty knife travelled up and down the motorway with us every time?.

Oh I'm another who'd hate to lose her small black handled knife! Had it for years and it's just so comfortable to use, and perfect for getting eyes out of potatoes
Also I'd hate to lose a particular pair of tweezers (black again!) which I've also had for years. I've had others before and since buying these many years ago, but none of them do the job as well.

kindle wine chocolate "Neighbours" (yes, realky, big fan) husband - not necessarily in that order!

My Samsung tablet. Never thought I'd use anything as much as that, but it's become such a useful thing to have for communication, finding information, recipes etc. Wouldn't like to be without it.....
