What are we meant to be looking at?

I loved Williams wedding. I was just watching the Queen at the Chelsea Flower Show. She was smiling away and looking very happy. Unlike her attitude at the more recent Royal wedding. Says a lot...

We are not meant to be looking at anything in particular. I was just having a look and found it interesting to see the different style and the various guests. David Cameron earning a round of applause for example when he arrived. Just silly little bits and pieces that interest me and pass the time.

That's fair enough oldbatty just curiosity on my part.

Good for you oldbatty I often find odd snippets on youtube that make me laugh or cheer me up.

It was interesting to watch Countryfile the other evening - your post about tradition reminded me of that anniebach.

I, too, like tradition and that fact that the RF saw themselves as custodians of Windsor Great Park and all that they have done to preserve the trees, the wildlife there for the enjoyment of all and long may it continue.

and as I watched it I thought that a President, even if he or she lived there for one or two terms, would not have the same continuing interest and investment in all of that - they would take what they could get whilst in office then be off to make more millions on the world stage.

I too found her post very rude and insensitive. She should apologise.

PaddyAnn why hate the Windsors? What have they done that is so wrong? They have had no more choice than you or I into the family they were born. They are just people like you and I living the life they are given. I see from your posts you have a very happy life, why so bitter about the lives of others?

Paddyann unpleasant post, perhaps it wasn't directed at oldbatty, however if it was meant to be a more general comment then perhaps you might like to think about how you word things.

I have no issue with Paddyann deploring the RF, and all that it stands for; she's perfectly entitled to her opinion on that. What I find unacceptable is her condemnation that oldbatty "has no life" and "latches on to people who don't know she exists" and that, by definition, means that she is "sad". Who does she think she is to be making such personal and spiteful remarks to such an innocuous and innocent post? I too think an apology is called for.
