Would you wear the "M" badge?

Never in a million years.

The only reason to have a Baby on Board sticker is in case you have a major accident, and the emergency services would know to look in the back. But since people use the sticker whether hay have the baby or not, I just find in annoying.
And no, I wouldn't wear a M badge, even if it was relevant.

Just as each generation thinks they have invented parenthood, this one seems to think they are the first to experience the menopause. Far from being something that has a stigma attached (which is how I have seen it described) it seems to be currently fashionable for celebrities to shout about it and let everyone know they are going through it down to the last boring detail.

I’m bored with the way in which ‘celebs’ blog, shout and talk about the minutia of their daily lives. Get on with it, stop drawing attention to yourselves and seeing your own ordinary life experiences as of interest to others ?

Some of the comments on her blog have suggested that the badge could be seen as a "badge of honour" and respect would accordingly be given from fellow commuters and colleagues. Personally, I think that any woman wearing a badge with "M" on could be labelled MUPPET!

Us Guys should therefore wear a MW badge, to ask others to give us empathy for an M wife

What next?!! Let's have a big red hat with a giant "PMS" on it for use at a certain time of the month. We mustn't leave out ladies who have yet to reach menopause.

I am a private person who has no wish for the general public to know my most personal business.
Also I'm sure they don't need it foisted on them. Why on earth would they need to know ?
I think it's embarrassing and subservient that we have expectations of complete strangers to "be aware " and give leeway for us. I hate the "poor me"
attitude of current times.

Try some self control, I feel we need to take a leaf out of the book of past generations. Handle it when in public.

I echo jane except that, not having heard of her, I have no interest in who she is!!

In my post about who should pay I think I am probably talking about the same thing. Entitlement in just about every situation rather than taking responsibility for our own lives and maybe just getting on with it. There are enough real things which need support without going looking for more!

I can just imagine that someone wearing such a badge might get treated badly because of it.

What a load of rubbish? Menopause is a natural part of life. Yes it can be unpleasant and some women need medical intervention because they really suffer but it's not an illness and definitely not something we need to be wrapped in cotton wool for. There is an upside to the menopause because we can now have wild, swinging from the chandelier, jumping off the wardrobe sex lives with no fear of a little delivery nine months down the line

It's pathetic, I think. Maybe I could also have a badge for when I've got a migraine. Or one which says SF, for when my feet are sore. Perhaps another with BMB on it. That would signify bad mood - beware!

The baby on board signs aren't necessary either. If a car is in an accident rescuers automatically check for children, as a sign isn't a reliable indicator. They seem to have gone out of fashion anyway, I hardly ever see one nowadays.
