Would you wear the "M" badge?

So the point of the M badge is effectively to garner sympathy from people that come into contact with a menopausal woman.
Crazy.

I don't think there will be many who give up a seat on the bus for a badge wearer.

I would like to know if she wants the M badge because she wants other people to sympathise or if it is warning badge to others to keep away from her.

No idea who Andrea McLean is but menopause is caused by lack of oestrogen. Replace it and you put off the menopause. I've been doing that for 28 years now and do not intend stopping.
I would hoot with laughter if I encountered her advertising her hormone status. It's optional. This is the 21st century.

Absolutely not, I have immense admiration for past generations of ladies who coped without proper sanitary products, empathy, consideration etc, who just got on with life, what an absolute insult this would be their stoicism.
On a lighter note , I used to call it. The Men O Pause. ( a relief at times ?)

I went through the menopause without my family knowing anything about it, as did my mum. To me it's rather personal.

No I would never wear one we put to many labels on people without this .

My periods stopped overnight when I was about 47. No other symptoms at all. Heaven! My similar aged friends were very jealous.

Oh purlease! I could have a whole wardrobe of colour co ordinating badges; 'My back is playing up right now, please don't nudge me', 'I have a thumping headache - don't shout', 'My OH has just wound me up like a corkscrew so don't say ANTHING'.

If they think it is hard being 50 and on the menopause try being 60 70 or 80 and some of the things that can come with that age. Old age is not for wimps and neither is ageing.

Gilly1952 totally agree with you. Everyone I know loathes those adverts and especially when in mixed company. It is bad enough having to deal with all these things without attention being drawn to them. It would be cheaper for these companies to make free samples available so that they can be tried out rather than paying huge advertising costs.
