Have you checked the long term weather forecast?

Well he was just popping out again, I told him they were in the hall drawer so he looked and they weren't there. He trekked upstairs and couldn't find them.
So I showed him which hall drawer they were hiding in (the one above the one he looked in)

First snow flakes drifting down in South Oxfordshire, but it’s still sunny!

Snow flurries on and off all day, but nothing major and did not settle.
Now though, the snow has really come down and settled within the space of about 15 minutes Everywhere looks like a christmas card now.

My daughter gave us "ice/snow grip grabbers, made by Betterwear. You stretch them over your shoe and they have metal studs underneath so you don't slip. They're brilliant. Could this be useful to some of you who are afraid to venture out in icy weather?

Well not much snow hete after all the hype. Anyone else in the midland with almost no snow?

We are not strictly speaking Midlands - on South Yorkshire’s border with Derbyshire, but apart from a nasty blizzardy hailstorm this morning which didn’t lie, we are snow free at present, after all the apocalyptic warnings. Looking out across the fields, they are all free of snow except one! A patch of solid white amid acres of green. Strange.

I had to go out this morning - it keeps trying to snow, a few flurries but mainly it's still sunny and bright and didn't seem to be that cold today.

I am so glad to have posted this post when I did and it gave people a chance to prepare. Today here in ireland we have significant snowfall about 8inches. As if today country is on a red warning and travel is impossible and it’s -3. Tomorrow is a whole different story which is that from 4 pm to 12am Friday we are to stay indoors. Things will improve sunday but we could have more cold weather next week. Stay safe.

My cousin in Dublin told me about the snow over there Bbnan. I was surprised as it’s usually milder than here.
In the London suburbs there has been a lot of snow and at the moment there is a strong wind blowing it off the trees. I live in a close, with other small roads around, so won’t be driving. I am determined to go for a walk though. I suffer from cabin fever if I don’t get out. There’s a limit to clearing out cupboards, clearing the grate and relaying the fire, sorting out clothes I don’t wear. Tedium doesn’t begin to describe it. I will dip a toe in the snow and see if it feels slippery then if ok I’ll go for a block trot. I will look like Michelin Man, but who cares?
