OK, Let's first take it as read that most if not all Gransnetters are concerned about the state of the world, poverty, injustice, illnesses of loved ones etc etc. I'm just curious to know what minor things niggle people ( I don't mean language, but practical things like the chairbackrobe.) Mine is H putting dirty cups on worktop above the empty dishwasher! We could counter these grumbles with a couple of things that made us smile this week.

My DH will make himself toast, but never uses a plate, instead he will get a piece of kitchen roll and use that and then leave all of the crumbs and the piece of used kitchen roll on the worktop...and it is funny how he can remember where the toaster lives but cannot remember to put it back! Drives me Mad!!!

He always makes me a cuppa after our evening meal and is a good fixer of anything! May take a bit of time but he will do it.

Jalimah if they are he will have been cutting through wire with them! lol

MaggieMay my OH does that too! I tell him that he’s wasteful as kitchen roll has to be thrown away whereas a plate which is washed and reused. And when wiping things he will always take several sheets of kitchen roll when he knows we started buying decent quality stuff so one (not the Juan one) sheet would do the job.

Mercedes yes sugar, every morning he takes a teaspoon to coffee machine 9 inches away (yes I measured it) and always manages to knock some of spoon which creates a gritty surface. It's just not necessary

Quote ' I was in the supermarket and thought these might be useful' I asked him to get something he would like for dinner. Chicken thighs. He hates chicken. Not just a couple but eight! Would you like chicken casserole? No thanks not keen on chicken. Ffs.

On the flip side when he comes home and I see him come through door and he smiles at me, my heart still misses a beat
