I was reminiscing and thinking about my favourite film ever.

For me it was Paint Your Wagon. Two reasons: Clint Eastwood blush and the songs. I have lost count of the times I saw it.
Closely followed by Roman Holiday, Gregory Peck and the scenery.

Sidney Poitier Greyduster? (your reason I mean)

West Side Story
South Pacific
Shakespeare in Love
Carousel

I can't choose one though.

It is very rare that I want to watch a film more than once but I've watched all of the above three or four times and have seen West Side Story and South Pacific in the theatre too. I've enjoyed lots of other films but none as much - although I thoroughly enjoyed Paddington Bear 2 the other week.

I'd like to add another tv film "Housewife 49" - I now have it on dvd and have watched it many times. It stars Victoria Wood and proves she was an amazing serious actress as well as a brilliant comedian

callgirl for Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner it is the incomparable combination of Hepburn and Tracey; Poitier was a bonus. ‘Heat of the Night’? Just a great, very powerful, film!
