Light hearted - it is nice to be nice - isn't it? What has happened to you day that meets this question?

I came home to find a note from the postman. It said "parcels in shed". He had gone to the trouble of opening our back gate, walking over soggy grass, and putting them into the shed. They were birthday gifts for my granddaughter so we are so glad he took the trouble.

Went to get my hair cut today and spotted a hairbrush on the shelf in front of the mirror. I asked Judith where she got it from because I have been searching for one like for years. She told me it was from a shop just outside the indoor market, about 1 minute away, but that sometimes they were not in stock. Rushed there and bought one, then decided to get another just in case. Really made my day.

Another lovely "chance encounter" for me yesterday - I peered over the shoulders of two men who were sorting their bit of the shelf display in Tesco, to get to our usual brand of coffee. It transpired they're from a small local company ("10 men and a dog") and I came away with a free tin of their coffee to try, and a business card to contact them with a review .

While shopping I almost bumped into a young man who was coming out of a shop. I apologised and was really chuffed when he said 'Not a problem at all, gorgeous!' Considering I am recovering from the awful virus thing and feel like death warmed up, it made me feel loads better.

Neighbour dropped in to say that of course she could drive us to my husband's hospital appointment on the 18th as long as we don't mind getting there on the early side, as she has to be at work at 10 a.m.

We don't mind at all being early for an appointment at 9.15 as the alternative means being even earlier- catching the bus at 7.25 to be sure of being at the hospital for 9.15!

Went to visit my Dd and 3 DGC after school today. Havnt seem them for a few days as I've been looking after my DM. The youngest 18 mth old ran as fast her little legs would go towards me with arms open wide shouting, " Nanny, I wuff you "! ? melted my heart .
