Wise sayings

Reading through posts about relationships, I’m reminded of my mother’s saying when relationship problems arose. If someone said, “There’s two sides to every story”, her ( wise) answer was, “ No, there’s three sides, his, hers, and the truth, which will be somewhere in between”.

What are your wise sayings?

It'll be all right in the end, and if it's not all right then it's not the end.

Don't let the behaviour of others destroy your inner peace.

Greyduster Thu 21-Dec-17 07:19:54

My mother used to say “Take care of the pennies; the pounds will look after themselves”.

Marydoll Thu 21-Dec-17 08:06:39

My mother always said: "Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself" and I have always tried to do that.

DanniRae Thu 21-Dec-17 08:36:51

My mum always said that grannyqueenie!
My favourite is simply "It is what it is". Some how it puts things into perspective for me. I am also using "Good enough is good enough" quite a bit in the build up to Christmas!!
