Mine is definitely I don't suffer fools gladly!

I was taught Shakespeare's 'to thine own self be true at school', it has been good life long advice to follow, especially when my views differ from others.

If in doubt... don't!
No good ever came from doing wrong.

"Each to their own" and "just go with the flow". I find myself constantly saying these phrases these days.

1. If life gives you lemons, stick them in a gin.
2. If a man does not enhance your life, get rid of him.
3. Don’t trust anything that has tyres or testicles
4. Always remember your manners, say please before you tell someone to F.O.
I could go on .....

If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got. For when I need to change something and can’t quite be bothered.

There's nowt sae queer as folk. In standard English, there's nothing as odd as folk.

No good comes of meddling between man and wife. (How I wish my mother had remembered that one on many occasions!)

Or if you've got nowt nice to say. Say nowt at all !

Life might not be the party you were expecting but why not dance anyway.

Paperbackbutterfly as a danceaholic, I love that one! I find myself thinking a quotation from Shakespeare these days: “All that glisters is not gold”, but in in general it’s the 1st 2 commandments, Love God, love others as yourself.

My late (and dear) father-in-law would say: This too will pass

If at first you don't succeed.... try, try, try a gin !

This can be fixed.
