What is in your garden ?

An old sun dial that's now nicely covered with a beautiful dark green moss and spots of ochre lichen. It's more beautiful now than when I bought it all those years ago.

A cat statue which now has no ears, my Mum bought it for me the year before she died. It's showing it's age it must be 25+yrs old now but it's very precious.

An old rusty plough - the type pulled by a horse - on a specially made concrete base and a bird of prey nicely greened up by the elements. I think I might still have the frogs painted by the DGC too.

An old stone birdbath, some ancient bamboo windchimes and many bird feeders and a staddle stone.

I have a Buddha. It is a young, thin Buddha. In fact I have assumed it's a Buddha. But I may be wrong. Ive never written Buddha so many times!

Yes - given to us by a friend who knew we were looking for one. He built the base for us too.

A stone birdbath and a millstone water feature both of which are mossing up nicely. A rickety bird table that all the birds studiously ignore, also several birds feeders that they do frequent. Oh and two coppery coloured metallic ducks.

A stone dog that I loved when it was in my granny's garden when I was small, I cried when we drove away from her house for the last time as I didn't want to leave him behind, my dad drove back and smashed up the concrete he was sitting on and gave him to me, he slept in my bed for years, yes and he was stone!

You have reminded me we have a small stone hedgehog and frog hiding in our garden.

We also have a cheeky little mouse who is so tame he sits there eating the food my DH leaves out for him whilst DH is gardening. We have never seen any other mice so we think he is a bachelor, and hope he stays that way. ?

Two greek style waterbearers, one bird bath, two lions and a little frog. We inherited these, and were what caught my eye on Rightmove when we were looking for a house. A friend once snootily said " well at least they are not gnomes".

I don't really have a garden since downsizing, but I have a statue of Our Lady in my backyard.

A lady with an urn (named Beatrice), a small elephant (who was there when we came and hides in a corner), a sundial (present from my parents), a mole (present from my parents), two Buddhas, (facing south), a regal cat and a squashed hedgehog (another present from my parents). I've come to the conclusion my parents didn't know what to buy us!

I have a stone Buddha. He is about three feet high, nicely weathered now, and sits in front of my camellia bush, flanked by two cast iron Japanese lanterns. I also have a leprechaun called Charlie (because he bears an uncanny resemblance to Prince Charles). I used to have a stone plaque with the head of a Classical Greek boy on it, which DH mounted on the garden wall for me. I was very fond of him but he met with an unfortunate accident and we were unable to repair him .

A stone birdbath and matching birdtable that has a plaque to the memory of my father who loved to feed the birds. The table stands on the patio and I was asked once, by a workman, if the man mentioned on the plaque was under the patio

Anything and everything from metal cockerel to 4ft high metal red poppies. Tall vases that I don't want indoors anymore, Chinese men, lifebelts that I've painted and put on the fences, plates that I pick up in second hand shops, Chinese cats, 2 really ornate chimneys with geraniums in them.
I had a floor standing lamp from Thailand ( 3ft) When the covering wore out I painted and use the frame for a clematis.

Callgirl1 it is our garden - we have an acre - including the bit the house sits on! I took that photo at a time when the garden was looking particularly good - before it got all dried up and brown looking for a good bit of the summer. But that makes you realise how dependant on the rain we are. We have a couple of wells which we use for the garden etc but don't water the grass (too much of it!).

A bird feeding station, a metal peacock, an NT robin, a wind spinner, wooden carved cats, a metal spotty cat in the front garden and various solar lights including a fence mounted butterfly.
These are mainly recent additions, I went a bit over the top this year!
