Menopaws Sun 05-Nov-17 17:40:54

The woman in a chalet in the snow and her 'oops moment', keep it to yourself love

Bridgeit Sun 05-Nov-17 17:49:07

To be fair she did try????

Menopaws Sun 05-Nov-17 17:52:35

Very good !

Bridgeit Sun 05-Nov-17 18:08:16

I hate those very, in your face Bodyform ads. Eeeuuuwwww! Is there just any need?

Willow500 Sun 05-Nov-17 18:36:21

The opera singing insurance man drives me mad - hate that and any of the stupid perfume ads that don't make sense. We've decided we'd be good candidates for a Gogglebox type program for adverts - we have some very funny conversations about them grin

jenpax Sun 05-Nov-17 20:48:42

Current hate is the Ralph Lauren under wear advert objectifying yet another young woman?plus the new Hoover advert showing a woman with a baby baking cakes and hoovering urgh how sexist and antediluvian

vampirequeen Mon 06-Nov-17 13:23:55

I hate the Diet Coke adverts where the women drool over a half naked man. Imagine if the genders were reversed.

Those three people dancing with their eggs, Happy eggs?

BlueBelle Wed 15-Nov-17 06:51:47

Haven’t seen that one Menopaws
The only advert I remotely like is the Haribo one all the rest are dreadful

suzied Wed 15-Nov-17 07:09:38

I’m fed up with the Christmas ads already?

Mapleleaf Wed 15-Nov-17 08:50:03

Me, too,*suzied*. The ones I've seen so far are not very good, either. Oh, and why do they start so early ( I know, commercialism), but to be honest, they don't encourage me to rush out now and do all my Christmas shopping. I do it as and when, not when they think I should. We'll be utterly bored by them come December - they'll have lost their impact, if they really have any...
Dear me, I sound like a GOW, and I love Christmas time, but exactly that, at Christmas time!

radicalnan Wed 15-Nov-17 10:05:27

I love all the ads, they are my cue to leave the room and do some housework, put the kettle on, let the dog out etc, bring the washing in, they are just the right length of time to do something that needs doing and I am too tight to buy stuff.

EEJit Wed 15-Nov-17 10:11:14

Meerkats, (boring now), price comparison sites, insurance, (all kinds), gambling & betting.

Hate the lot of them, but I must agree with Radicalnan, a great time to put the kettle on.

granoftwins Wed 15-Nov-17 10:18:22

Current hate is the NHS "Over 65" one where people speak in slow patronising voices and say if we feel a bit poorly we should seek help. Erm..I'll try and fit that in between cycling, walking, Zumba, WI, book group and volunteering. We are not idiots!!

pollyperkins Wed 15-Nov-17 10:18:40

Im not sure if it's on TV but I can't stand the radio one (classic fm) about 'Gaz & Leccy' getting out of control. What puerile patronising rubbish! Can't we manage to say gas and electricity like adults any more?

allule Wed 15-Nov-17 10:21:38

Phoenix...I've only seen the monster TV advert once, and think it was a joke, and a relief from all the tweeness.
My daughters never see any adverts, as they record everything and watch it when it suits them, cutting out the adverts. This seems to be the modern way, so not sure where that leaves advertisers.

Mary59nana Wed 15-Nov-17 10:25:15

Dislike all the xmas ads where they show big groups of people around the xmas table over laden with festive food.
If your alone or on a small budget this must be heartbreaking

Myym Wed 15-Nov-17 10:55:38

The advert for Park Christmas 2018 with the little girl singing "sweetheart..." at the end. I have no real idea why I dislike it but it is akin to fingernails down a blackboard.

Morgana Wed 15-Nov-17 11:31:25

Daytime is the worst with ads all about getting a loan, taking out a funeral plan or giving to charity. Depressing!

Morgana Wed 15-Nov-17 11:32:21

Love the Warburton ones. My all time favourite.

Nanny27 Wed 15-Nov-17 12:18:56

I'm right beside you pollyperkins on gas and leccy. Yuk yuk yuk.

But.. I adore Moose the boxer. Something to do with credit score I think.

Lilypops Wed 15-Nov-17 12:19:49

Granoftwins I like your post about fitting everything in whilst being patronised with an over 65years add , made me smile ,, well done

maryhoffman37 Wed 15-Nov-17 12:47:26

The soup one that says it's "made of great."

vampirequeen Wed 15-Nov-17 13:14:43

I've just seen an advert for some sort of Boppin toy made my JML. Talks about it being great fun. How kids will love it and how it will keep them entertained until the New Year. Is that what toys are now? Something that only keeps the kids entertained for a few days.
