I hate that Fairy Liquid "hard' baby - especially the voice!

A singer songwriter portraying herself as a female boxer advertising shampoo with the tag line 'train your hair strong' nothing tallies, really bad English and an impossible task. Makes me cringe every time. However, much to the company's liking, I can name the product!

I've never seen any of these because I record everything and fast-forward through them.

Most of the above drive me nuts, especially the 'planning your funeral' ones.

Also very sick of the one for washing up liquid where the kid wants to make a spaceship out of the bottle but 'it's taking aaaaaaaages'

I wasn't offended Milly but I do think it was a little distasteful. I wonder what the reaction would have been if it had been a picture of Mohammad just before Ramadan, or Shiva holding several meat pies, or Buddha or any other religious symbol

I don't know how to start a new Thread - please someone tell me, but as this one is about Adverts I would like to comment on the Gregg one with the sausage roll. What was the point of it - no caption as far as I can see - if it had said our Sausage rolls are so delicious even the Wise men worship them, I could have understood their thinking, but there is no caption. I'm just puzzled, and slightly offended as a Christian, but mostly puzzled.

I can't stand any ad which describes the product as costing "only four nine nine". Are we really considered too stupid to understand four hundred and ninety nine?
Oh, and those ones that talk about "pre owned Swiss watches". They're second hand, for goodness sake!!

I love the one with the boxer dog "MOOSE" I have managed to find the ringtone sayings "what doing" for my texts on my mobile phone ,love it !

And the electric toothbrush one which says how much better that one is as it has a round head. ALL electric toothbrushes have round heads.

I find myself fascinated by the chap skipping with all those ropes. Something I could never do. No idea what the ad is for as I’m watching him.

Most car adverts annoy intensely and I really want to slap those stupid men in the Harribo ad.

I have seen one where a woman comments wistfully “I could never afford a funeral like that”!
Also agree with all the previous posters, especially about the “pahnds”.

I thought the ad with the 62 year old woman was just plane stupid, as if men would be falling over at a woman of that age ,get real ad people.

Alidoll I agree, there was a recent ad by UNICEF about donating to stop a little girl starving - out of curiosity I looked up the salary of the CEO of UNICEF - almost $500,000 p.a.! How many peoples donations does it take just to cover his salary. I prefer to donate to small local charities

Yes Bridgeit , I agree! Haven’t they got enough to contend with without feeling bad about not being strong enough to ‘beat ‘ cancer.

Can’t stand the air freshener ad where the woman’s hair frizzes up when she sprays it. I love the flash ad with the muddy poodle.

My favourite ad.... th little boy having cancer treatment in a hospital bed singing “ heads..shoulders..knees and toes ...with a doctor who then sings “cheeses on toast” .... instead of “knees and toes”. The smile on that little boy’s face!! Wonderful.

Over 50s and funeral life cover ads make my flesh creep. We are portrayed as brainless idiots, one minute regretting the passing of a friend and the next chuckling together at their own cleverness as they go off to play bowls or whatever. Horrible.

What about the one for liquid tablets for your washing machine. It goes something like "there's the spill, there's the lift" and shows all these people lifting "heavy" boxes of washing powder and wiping their brows with the effort. Then they all dance when they only have to lift a liquid tablet!

Definitely any ad that tries to guilt trip me by saying only my money can save baby x from a life of poverty and anguish and that implied “if you don’t help, you’re a horrible person”. They get the same treatment as those who turn up on your doorstep and attempt to sign you to a direct debit as “you must agree that ending child / animal etc cruelty is important surely?”

If I want to donate money, I’ll do it off my own back and will not be cow-towed into doing so while Neighbours is on in the background thanks!

There's a recent ad which has Supertramp (great band) singing, "Give a little bit (of your love)" which I dislike. No, the ad is not about love, it's simply about commercialism - buying yet more stuff, not love at all. Love is not about spending money is it?
As for the 'Oops' French chalet woman - am I right to believe that in France they are very keen on pelvic floor exercises after giving birth so that these products aren't so necessary?

I think that advert about antibiotics is mad - take your doctor's advice. How do you get antibiotics otherwise, you can only get them on prescription off your doctor for goodness sake. They should be telling them not to prescribe them unnecessarily!

I've just seen an advert for some sort of Boppin toy made my JML. Talks about it being great fun. How kids will love it and how it will keep them entertained until the New Year. Is that what toys are now? Something that only keeps the kids entertained for a few days.
