Does your car have a name?

I think we have had a thread like this before, but hey ho, mine's called Mitsi, she's a Mitsubishi, and I love her.

'I don't like you' Bought it 2 years ago, realised too late that it was too big, too complicated but couldn't cancel as the custom order had been placed. Now time to change.....don't know what to get.

Not this one, but the car before it was called Dolphin - it was a shiny blue and I made a point of using dolphin air freshners.

As the children grew, we had Kato Car, Bluebelle, Skarloey and Tommy (red like tomato sauce) - last three all with a nod towards Thomas the Tank Engine too!

Not a name, but it is known as the Big Blue Beast!

Not this one but my first was called Betty. I was so upset when she "died". I can still remember her registration number now.

My mums car was a bright yellow escort, with the worlds squeakiest brakes. Her name was Buttercup.
The car, that is, not Mothers.

Iris, because she is a dark bluey purple colour.

Our DGS call her Dusty.

My car is called Beauty, while dh's is the Beast, because it's a sports car.

My car was called The Batmobile , named by my pupils. It was a Renault Wind and looked like a squashed batmobile..

have had a few in between un named but current one is Yosef as it has YSF plate

I'm taking Mildred (a powder blue Suzuki Alto Play) to the garage to say goodbye today which will be sad as she has been what her name implies - solid, dependable and a little old fashioned. My new (second hand) car is a white Kia Rio ('and she dances on the sand') so she is Rio.

My first car was Cilla. I cried when she died. Then we had Dolly and then Betty. Now we have Violet.

My late husband always named his cars, eg.Molly Megane, Holly Honda etc and he always said good morning to them when getting in first thing in the morning! Suffice to say I seem compelled to carry on his tradition and now own a Polly Panda!!!

My BMW (sixteen years old now, and solid as a rock) is called The Fraulein.

I call mine Girl Friend because the registration number starts with GF

Diggory, Clover, Molly, Lucy, Rattletrap, Slumdog

Not all at once. Slumdog is current.

Diggory and Rattletrap had the most character.

I give other people's cars names too. My friend's is called Rumex. A neighbour's is Sid.

And we always play a game of naming the car in front if its number plate gives us a clue.

My Toyota campervan is called My Van the Terrible. Ususally when something goes wrong with it.

My old car was called 'the pram' because it wouldn't go without push.............I have never loved a car enough to give it a name after her.
