Just been trawling through the Hotter and Clarks ankle boots on the Internet, as I could do with a new pair, but the names! I like Everlay Mandy ones, (Clarks) but dare I go in and ask for them.?Then there are Matron Ella.Sounds more my age group.

I'm with you trisher, it's nice to have a choice wink

Absolutely Trisher, nobody (except Paw ) would expect to get by on only two pairs of shoes (or 5) and the same applies to boots

Yes, suede ones are lovely, even more comfy and soft.I have some black sued pixie boots with fur inside, but I still want some some taupe leather ones(ankle) type.I have five pairs too, so a nice round six would be good.??

Suede pixie boots ( sued ones would be completely crazy)?

sadsadsad
Picked up my Matron Ella boots and they are going back.
My ankles are swelling up these days and I can’t do the zip up comfortably .
I just hope my Hotter Pixie are better when they arrive.
Very sad and annoyed because I hadn’t realised my ankles had got this bad.

Aw Mawbroon, that's a shame, it's really disappointing when you've been looking forward to them being delivered and then they're not right. Sizing varies so much between styles and makes and so the Hotter boots might be better. I have 2 pairs of Clarks boots, different styles. One pair fits snugly around my ankles, the others are like 7 league boots and can only be worn with jeggings packed in them. Hope you get sorted.

They do all fit slightly differently MawBroon so don't blame your ankles. I've got ones that are snug and ones that are loose. You just have to find the right boot. Hope your Hotter pair are them.

OH! I want some suede ankle boots too! I think black, of course, but dark green would be nice too...........or red, maybe. Please let me know all you boot lovers if you track any down suitable for a would-be trendy, kind-of comfort loving 69 year old - TA!!

Yes, that’s a shame MawBroon but they do come in two widths.I went into the shop for them, not online, and the assistant said they come in wide or extra wide. The wide were fine for me, and I have to say, not wide at all, just normal ( have never needed a wide fitting before).
But, to anyone contemplating buying them, they do fit snugly and I would describe them as being a sort of boot shoe, no room to tuck in jeggings/ leggings. They have a slight heel, and look great with jeans or trousers or for wearing a skirt with opaque tights.

I have found some wonderful black suede ankle boots which have a small "splash" of leopard print at the back. I got them from Debenhams and they weren't cheap, but I fell in love! They are an early Xmas present to myself.

I just got some great ankle boots from shoefits.org They had a big variety of them. I prefer the high heel ones though
