yggdrasil - that's exactly what the political threads are, which I suspect is why many posters avoid them, have you noticed it is usually the same posters agreeing with each other! This is a light hearted thread - and will no doubt be used against us if Momentum (sorry Labour) ever get into No. 10.

I was speaking to a priest once about the ridicule often directed at the church - he smiled and said any religion that cannot take ridicule and criticism does not deserve to survive. Could not the same be said of political parties and politicians?

I have reread the whole thread and can't see a single personal reference to any poster. Personal animosity doesn't HAVE to be present in all conversations! Sometimes it is just comment on generalities.

Humour is the enemy of self-importance. Not welcome in a totalitarian state. Those who bring the hierarchy into disrepute will feel the wrath of the establishment. There will probably be a law against it.
