Tch ... definitely woken up grumpy today:
Catching up on Gn after a l9ng day out yesterday and irritated by some posts I don't agree with to the point I have had to have a 'word' with myself ...
Annoyed that Theresa Mays' bl***y dress is still in the news ...
Fed up that it is apparent that some people cannot tolerate simply joy in others without having to have a snipe ...
Cross that some news on BBC news is not news, but just advertising other programmes ...
Cheesed off because my coffee cup is empty nd the kitchen seems a long way away...
Sad eh?
Usually cheerful, but definitely wrong-side-of bed syndrome today. Hope for DH''s sake that it wears off soon grin grin grin
Anything already got your goat today?

Luluaugust So pleased to find someone else who understands.
Consultant was great, very honest about the result. Date was set, pre op stuff done when I said not sure!

Have you any tips for comfort at bed time? I know what Gracie meant about sleeping on your back and the arms feeling sooooo heavy. Actually sitting up would be easier so now wish I had bought one of those electric ones. Can't think where my brain was when I ordered this thing.
Hope you've got some tips!

We all get grumpy days, maybe as we get older and the world evolves more into something we don't understand things seem worse.
Metaphorical flowers for you barbaralynne, it must be horrible for you. My menopause is over now and the hot flushes were so irritating. My chemotherapy only lasted around 17 weeks so I consider myself damn lucky (but it was a trial at the time).
Can anyone remember a sign which some of us put up at work which went along the lines of ...
'It takes 23 (can't recall the number) muscles to frown but only 7 (?) to smile. It would only take me 3 (?) to pull back my fist and smack you in the mouth'.
It seems appropriate for days like this.

Oh Thankyou for this post! It's not just me! I have arthritis in my wrists, a dodgy ankle that requires surgery, and a food addict foster cat that wakes me at 4:30am every morning. I have found myself swearing under my breath at the slightest little thing (terrified that my DGD will hear me and report back). I'm feeling judgemental about every asinine tweet I read, but I still go to Twitter - and want to reply WTF?!?! to most everything. Then I read about amaprazole.... And I'm on something similar, four years now. So all I could think about was Alzheimer's.
No wonder I'm tetchy. But aren't we supposed to be? Curmudgeonly old ladies?

Thanks Teddy, I'll wait to see what the X-ray shows and take it from there. I still keep thinking it will get better on it's own! Wishful thinking! Ever the optimist, that's a fib too.
Reading everyone else's problems makes me realise it's okay to be grumpy, sometimes wink

A few years back there was a tv programme called "Grumpy Old Men" and anogher called "Grumpy Old Women" - or was that the same programme ?

Anywzy, I wasn't that olc at the time but I often thought I agreed with nearly everything they said. It does creep up on you doesn't it - old age and grumpiness?

Teddy123 can't be much help with sleeping I am afraid, I have two deep pillows and am able to sleep on one side easier than the other.

JaneD3 have made a note of the op you had, Consultant did say almost everyone had some Arthritis and bone growth after a certain age, glad yours worked.

What a game it all is, no wonder we get grumpy.

I have definitely become more grumpy over the years, I'm only 62 but am certainly a "grumpy old woman" about certain things. Manners, or should I say lack of them make my blood boil. I find myself shouting at the tv (a perk of being a widowgrin) especially at Politicians.

I have sympathy with those of you suffering with shoulder pain, I have Arthritis in my big toe of all the daft places, usually bearable. Several years ago I had a nerve problem with my shoulder, I had to go into our spare room to get comfortable at night & even then it was difficult to sleep, all of a sudden it cleared upconfused.

I think we're all entitled to an "off day", enjoy you grumpiness occasionallysmile

I'm definitely becoming a 'Mrs' Meldrew. Litter everywhere, speeding and dangerous driving, irresponsible dog owners, who cares what Teresa May or anybody else is wearing? The list goes on. I despair ......

Just noticed this missdeke; 'got mine from a local small supermarket, but you can also get them on Amazon. I am quite a convert; as mentioned they are fruit based glue and have nothing dangerous to harm anyone making contact ...except the fly of course.

I am not sure whether I am grumpy or just confused really. I placed an order for some bark mulch to be delivered last Monday and since it wasn't enough I had to order more and it was due to be delivered tomorrow, Tuesday. The Monday order arrived on Tuesday last and the Tuesday order arrived at the crack of dawn this morning, Monday! Why do deliveries never happen as arranged?confused
