You can't say that!

I could never understand how a blackboard suddenly had to be a chalkboard. After all it was a black board, which was written on with chalk.
When my son was in junior school, he had a friend who was called Chocka by everyone, and I asked my son why. He said it was because his friends surname was Brown. It was ages afterwards when I met his friend that I found out he was black. To my son he was not a certain colour, he was just his friend. I think there are too many 'politically correct ' people around these days, sometimes causing problems with their opinions of what is right or wrong.

It is wrong to call it a blackboard - but it is OK to use the term whiteboard, double standards?

If a board which is black is not a blackboard, what should we now call a dog which is that unmentionable word? As in, "This is Macduff, my Scottie. He's a differently-haired West Highland White."

I am fine with Scot. I hate it when people ask me if I'm Scotch. Scotch is whisky.

I've always been careful to say Scots and not Scotch. Two different words, two different meanings. Nothing to do with politically correct. But I notice that Scotch is popping up more and more frequently on news reporting from people who should know better.
