I am just back from Visiting Ruby she is a lovely lady and very thrilled with everyone's kind messages and good wishes.
We didn't stop talking for an hour and a half and none of it involved the patients in the other beds!!
I did take grapes.
I will post in more detail later but really want a cup of tea.

Hi everyone! It's the invalid! I am blown over by all your warm wishes and care, thank you all so much.

I am going to be here for a while by the looks of it. The team meet on Tuesday to discuss what to do next, probable angiogram and MRI then maybe pacemaker and balloon in aorta. I've asked for a Minions balloon as they are hard workers and cute!

Staff lovely in this spa, not so keen on the acupuncture treatments though! Can't have my late nights, I get tucked up in bed by ten. No fun! Internet poor and tele costs a fortune, cannot live without my Bradley though. Food brilliant, five star, someone else cooks it, brings it, cleans up and the pots fly off to the washing up fairies, brilliant.

My DS has been more thn great and now understands how I have been feeling. He's not been today, he didn't come yesterday, in fact, I haven't seen him since I gave him my bank card and PIN!

Ann very kindly came to see me today which has been lovely. We had a nice chat, put the World to rights and had a lovely hug. Thank you Ann, you really cheered me up, and thank you for my special gifts, I now need some yeast to ferment the grapes. : )

Get well soon, did have a laugh at your post - especially like the washing up fairies, could do with some of them!

As Ruby has reported herself I don't need to but cant go without telling you how I nearly didn't get there.
My S took me to the station for a train to Manchester at 13;03, all well and good forall of 3 minutes when a woman came through shouting stop the train, stop the train. long story short a woman had suddenly slumped in her seat.The train stopped and an ambulance was called. The ironic thing is that we were 5 minutes up an embankment from a major A&E hospital. The first response team arrived after about three quarters of an hour followed half an hour later by the ambulance, then they had to get her off and once that happened the signal people had to sort their bit out.
I had to ring home to ask my S to ring Ruby (she has one of those bedside phones) as I didn't have her number.I treated myself to a taxi when I got to Manchester and eventually got to the ward an hour later than I had said but I made it.
From her post you can see that her sense of humour is intact. She is in good spirits and can't wait to see her little dog.

Hoping it all works out really well for you Rubylady. Glad you were able to get on line to tell us all the news. You're obviously in good hands now but it's been a long hard wait for you to get some progress.

So lovely to hear from you Ruby. What a great sense of humour you have. I'm glad you're finally getting all the care you need. Do write again!
