I think the neighbours are all hibernating today, very sensible.
The half barrels always look very attractive, we had some for years.

I've done 2 hours of ironing, now having chocolate ice lolly!

We have been painting DD's new flat all day, and we walked there. All of 5 minutes away. Got driven home though. After dinner I'll have a long soak in readiness for some quality TV time watching Broadchurch. And eating Easter Eggs. Been a good day.

I managed to move my sorry backside off the sofa - eventually! Walked around NT garden and house and then popped into a country pub for a swift half. Exhausted now

Riverwalk Physical nightmare here this afternoon,we had ordered a shed to be delivered by Homebase and it arrived this afternoon at our new bungalow,hubby there to open the side gate for them to take around the back and they informed him they had to just drop in front garden and go as they where running late,so we have been finding whereabouts of two of our big DGs to take into the back garden so I am no at all happy with their delivery service,how would they expect a 72yr old man to lift the parts of an 8 x 6 shed.

DH insisted he was perfectly capable of putting together his new shed (8'x6') so I enlisted the help of a muscly young neighbour (otherwise it would have been muggins press ganged into helping him!). The firm did take it into the back garden though.
I hope you can drag him away from his new shed after it goes up glammanana

Well I've been poorly for the last 5 days sneezing & coughing up lots of nasty substance and feeling dreadful. The NHS advice is to not plague your doctor, pull yourself together & get over it.
So my outdoor activities today have been limited to conferring with my gardener about what needed doing in the garden.
I fear it will be some time before I feel like putting on my Sweaty Bettys again

Stay warm janea and watch others doing the gardening through the window. Apparently it is colder than it was at Christmas.

Me too Janea. I'm into week three of a chest infection. My legs are like jelly and I wonder how I got through entertaining both families yesterday. I've stayed in today and I've cancelled tomorrow's plans. Hope we both feel better soon!

What is it with chest infections, coughs and colds that persist for weeks? I hope Jane and bellanonna that you soon feel better.
I've just sat down to listen to the Archers. We had a family day which has been lovely if exhausting, long walks and feeding a gang plus dogs and toddlers. I'm going to stay awake for Broadchurch !

We've had a lovely family day too. No long walks though, unless you count the indoor egg hunt (the garden was too wet). Just DD1 here now and the tiddlers are long gone. I might get round to clearing the devastated buffet and the toy-strewn floor before Broadchurch. Or I might not.

DH asked if I was going to do some washing this morning.
Certainly not!!! It's Bank Holiday!

Fingers and toes crossed, I only just seem to have got over the cold and cough I had in January.

My day started off slow too then quickly speeded up upon receipt of text requesting my presence at GD's cake sale in local park so walked there, ate cake, walked back (3 miles in total). Other GD wanted to help me in the garden so spent some time transplanting seedlings and moving troughs to my plastic 'greenhouse' and weeding. Had just sat down to watch News and then heard about serious frost here tonight, so back outside pinning extra bubble wrap and fleece around tender seedling and plantlets. Now I'm the one feeling tender, well shattered really. An early night on the cards I think, Night All.
