Does anyone else have a 'bucket list' of things they are going to do when they retire? I'm not talking about the biggies here, like Climb the Himalayas or do a parachute jump. It's just little things that I never seem to get round to and I think "when I retire..."
My list includes:
Clear out the cupboard under the stairs
Give the garden "a good talking to"
Bake cakes
Decorate the bedroom
Clear out the loft
Read the many books I have heaped under my bedside table

Those of you who are already retired - did you ever get round to them?

Well I said I was going to do a degree, not having been able to go to uni in my youth but with OU it would cost about £15k! So not on your nelly just for a vanity project!
The bliss of not having to do anything you don't want to do, get up at leisure etc. But have joined groups, U3A great and still sing with two choirs and do two keep fit classes.
But, as others have said, you never know what's round the corner so you just have to enjoy each day as it comes and be thankful.
