Names never to return?

DD had a friend called Tabitha, she must be in her 40s now so it is rare but perhaps occurs in every generation.

I'm not so keen on Doncaster, particularly for a girl

Although if you can call a child Brooklyn, Madison, Phoenix or Paris .....

My DGD'S friend is Ariadne

I always liked the name Senga, but not keen on Agnes.

My DS was very surprised to learn that names like Emily and Charlotte were considered old-fashioned when I was young.

Joan is one I haven't heard for a while, other than for old ladies.

I think Joan became Joanne or Joanna - probably in their thirties and forties now!

My 3 daughters are Lynne Margaret, Rena June and Dawn Elizabeth, probably considered very old fashioned nowadays. My sons are David Lyndon and Neil William Lewis.

I had a great uncle Ambrose, known as Amby, and two male 2nd cousins called Vivan and Hillary.

I love the name Lettice and was wondering about it only recently.

My mum was telling me today, that she had a friend growing up, called Ultan, named after an Irish saint, which I think is a great name.

I really enjoy watching the end credits to old films to see the old fashioned names.
