Have you ever done anything TOTALLY out of your comfort zone....

....and found that you rather liked it?

Last night (shock horror) I did a Burlesque master class ! shock

I was kind of roped into it to make numbers up and wasn't looking forward to it one little bit, but to my surprise it was really good fun and not at all what I expected.

Has anyone else done anything way out of their comfort zone and found that they quite enjoyed it and would like to do it again?

I went down a very long water slide which went outside the building - in the middle of winter! It was still warm as it was enclosed. Great fun, but I haven't done anything very daring for years.
Now is the time to think of something. hmm

I did a 3.5 month trip to Australia via Bangkok and Singapore, returning via Hongkong, travelling solo, many years ago and had a fantastic time. I spent a couple of weeks staying with relatives and friends in Australia, which I crossed with Greyhound coaches, and the rest of the time I booked hotels.

I ran my one London Marathon when I was 64. It was tough and I haven't done it again.

I did, though, enjoy the occasion, the crowd support and the feeling of relief and triumph afterwards despite taking over 5 hours to get round. I still get a buzz from big races but over half-marathon distance. A Marathon is far more than twice the challenge of a half marathon. My target is just to finish, not last. So far, so good!
