You posted my thoughts exactly stillalive, I like her too and agree Charles was pushed into marrying Diana. People seem to forget Diana also had affairs with married men.

Not that I am condoning affairs or am at all a Royalist but Camilla was in love with Charles long before Diana came along (if we believe all the media tells us). It must be difficult to be told who you should or shouldn't marry. Imagine having to be married to someone all your life and not want to be.

Yorkshiregel Anniebach, no she had two sons with her former husbands. William and Harry are Diana's children and always will be. They are step-sons to Camilla.

I think you will find that the Duchess of Cornwall had only the one former husband before she married the Prince of Wales. He, Andrew Parker-Bowles, was the father of her two children. As they are called Tom and Laura it seems quite likely that they are a son and a daughter rather than two sons.

Prince Charles certainly is not the Head of the Church of England and nor will he ever be, whether or not he ascends to the throne. If he becomes King, he will be Supreme Governor and Defender of the Faith or, possibly Defender of Faith if his proposed planned change should be accepted by Parliament. Jesus Christ remains the Head of the Church of England.

The Church of England is Anglican , the Anglican Church is world wide , each country has its own arch Bishop, Wales has it's own arch bishop, the head of the world wide Anglican Church is Christ .

Nobody seem to have mentioned the rumour about who was really Harry's dad? Just thought I would throw it in to the general gossip, rumour and character assassination that is presented here. Couldn't care less if she is crowned or not!

She is supreme head of the Church of England but not of the Church in Wales but is queen of the U.K. So if Charles becomes king he will be head of the church in England but not of the Anglican Church in Wales or any other country he will be king of . Think Charles is right to want to be defender of faith not defender of the faith of one country

I agree with that. He has taken the trouble to explore/learn about other faiths for many years. Quite ahead of his time, really.

I dont think Harry looks like Prince Charles, but he is a true Tudor in looks and gets to look more like Henry V111 every day! I hope the poor chap has a happier life though.
There were rumours that Harry was the child of the ghastly James Hewitt, a cad if ever there was one. Those on here who are extended sympathy to the late Diana and hating Camilla for being an adulterer should also give some consideration to the wife of Will Carling, another victim of the whole unhappy mess that was the arranged marriage of Charles and Diana.

Well it's funny but after watching the latest 'Lucy Worsley-in the-Dressing-up-Box' on the TV I remarked how much like Henry VIII Prince H was. Must just be the hair and the beard because there's no Tudor bloodline there, is there? I'm pretty au fait with the Tudors and the Windsors, but a bit shaky with the middle lot...Stewarts and Hannoverians.
As for William... he bears a remarkable resemblance to his grandfather(P.P)around the time of his engagement to the Queen I think. Again,only just noticed it after watching the latest documentary on the House of Windsor. I really don't spend all my time telly watching, there just seems to have been some very interesting history progs on the box recently.

If you ever catch a picture of Harry looking worried or pensive then he looks the image of his father. Didn't Henry VIII's sister, Margaret, marry into the Scottish Royal Family. If they were the Stuarts then there is a bloodline.
Incidentally, one of my granddaughters is descended from the Stuart line and is the image of Bonnie Prince Charlie. And remember when they reconstructed the features of Richard 111 (he of Leicester Car Park fame) he looked so like the living ancestor they had found.

I think it was just the ginger hair that sparked the original conjecture about who is father was!

A female Tudor married into the Stuart dynasty, and a female Stuart contributed to the bloodline that led to the Hanoverians, so a few Tudor genes will have got through to Harry.

I would think that the Royal Family would see a breakdown as a form of weakness.
