Hello Luckygirl to be honest I haven't read all the replies to you but we use Facetime on my Ipad which is the same as Skype. My Ipad (or any Ipad) does not get viruses so it is safe to speak to your DD that way. Best of luck

You can have the tablet set up for your email and your Skype accounts. You can then take it anywhere there is wifii you can log on to.

Plus there are adult education classes for over 50's to learn how to use their tablets!

Someone mentioned the problem of being seen on Skype. I don't know if it is similar to Viber, but with that I can choose whether I want to be on camera or not (definitely not in my case). ?

Lucky Girl, As there isn't a pissed off emoticon, perhaps you could just tell him to "piss off" yourself! Lol. Do you have an iPhone or IPad? I have and so do my children. You can use FaceTime on them to see and talk to each other and, in fact, it's better because you are stuck to a webcam With Skype on the computer. You can move around. I.e. Move to another room where he isn't! Any where where you can get on the internet, like a BT hotspot! In a car park! Any where! Now doesn't that sound like a good way to tunnel out!!!!

What do I do -- Firstly, I care for a "slave girl" I rescued in 2014, and she now lives mostly in her own village just one hour away -- then helping with money, to fix grass roofs which are often destroyed during heavy storms paying for Medical treatment or Medicines when necessary replenishing food supplies or needed clothing etc or helping with School fees. --

Usis I realise that your village is a real place and what you do sounds admirable, but would you be better starting a blog as this thread does not seem the appropriate place for this.

I think you can set up your own and people will follow you or perhaps ask GNHQ if you can write about your experiences and they will help and check that you are not comprising anyone's identity.

manny I can identify with what you said about having to repeat everything. My husband says "what?" before I've even finished what I'm saying. It's just become a habit.

I do have some sympathy with anxious husbands because I tend to be an anxious person myself - about financial transactions on the computer, banging or rattling noises on the car, etc., etc. It isn't very nice feeling there is always something horrible waiting round the corner to mess things up but I can appreciate it must be annoying for other people.
