Granmary I do sympathise.
I was reasonably ok yesterday with my sister and her partner here, but today I have been alone and realised that I have not heard anything from any of my three older grandsons this Christmas....my family is fractured since my daughter died early last year and nothing seems to be improving...

Mumsy }}}Hugs{{{ and flowers Hope you managed some enjoyment on Christmas day. My daughter calls me Mumsy tootchgrin. As you know I am estranged from my D&GC & S, so Xmas is an emotional time for me, no husband's shoulder to cry on tchhmm

Haven't seen that Tesco Ad, I would have a tear too!
God Bless all on here flowers

Only read first page, off to work after shower now, so will read other pages later....

Hugs and my thoughts to all who need them. Sorry for anyone feeling alone.
Glad to be alive, for opportunities to show humanity whether to family, friend or passing stranger.
Of course we remember those who have passed on, a friend gone at 18 or at 49, far too soon. A parent who could have been so much better understood and loved. Uncomplaining unmarried aunt who quietly did so much for others and never mentioned loneliness.
We must look to the future, our own and those of others, especially the precious grandchildren, whatever their ages, situations or attitudes. Blink back the tears and on we go, never knowing for sure what a new day may bring. Love and hope to all.

'We hold more in common than that what divides us.'?

Bringing tears to my eyes all your lovely posts. My dad died just before Xmas and I remember looking out of the window at the snow, first thing in the morning, really wanting to phone him to say "It's snowing dad!, look out the window" same scenario with my precious little Granddaughter the first year I was 'cut out' broke my heart! And yes, kindness can make you tear-up too tchconfused
Really must leave for work, I will read page 3 when I get back.

DS and DD decided to make a donation to my favourite charity. Mary's Meals ask for the amount spent on an average Christmas dinner (£15) and for each donation set a place at their virtual table.
When DS opened his laptop to show me, I was delighted and teary when I saw on the plate the names of my late parents.
Very much appreciated.

Ps that means that 2 more children will be fed at school for a full year.

The TESCO advert was sad, but well done.
This year of our own choice, we decided to get away on our own, a lovely Christmas in Cornwall, but I did miss my adult children and grandchildren and they somehow managed on their own, so this could be the start of something! I am writing this after Christmas as we didnt have Internet access, which was bliss, I must add. Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas xx
