That, to me, sounds pretty much like you were unhappy his comment had been recorded and played, rather than you were unhappy that he had made the remark in the first place. I would describe that as excusing what he said on the grounds that "he is a good man".

I do not have a "little group" - in fact I have no group whatsoever. Sometimes what I say accords with other people's views and sometimes not. You, on the other hand, have quite a following of posters who jump to your defence, accusing anyone who disagrees with your often quite goading and sarcastic comments of being a bully.

It appears to me that it is you who is obsessed with Corbyn. On many political/current affairs threads in which Corbyn has not featured, you seem determined to bring him into the discussion - as if goading people to respond. Most of the time I try not to.

I have to say that hiding behind an alias on this website to attack the (twice) elected leader of the party you apparently belong to is not impressive. It is also very repetitive. But obviously delights those who support the current government.

A 4% rise in Labour, and a 5% drop in Tory support.

There might be a bigger drop when they find out what the Tories really think of them.

Most people on here use aliases. That's why we can write what we do. Although my name is Jen, and I do live in Durham, so not as much of an alias as some.

I am not responsible for names chosen by posters , neither would I accuse them of using an alias , it is not my business , I accept and respect posters on what they say , not concerned with their privacy, I have no idea if your name is Jen, you say it is your name so I accept this.

JessM what on earth is your point? We ALL use an alias on here, and even if you don't do, there must be a lot of Jess's out there, so nobody knows who or where you are.
We are all free to attack or defend anybody on the public stage, or to agree or disagree with each other on this forum.That includes saying what we think about Corbyn.

My identity is not a secret on GN. If you want to know who I am then I think you could find out in about 2 minutes flat. I have reservations about online anonymity as it can easily create an online culture in which people write things they would never say in a real world public place. I understand though that that some people might wish to discuss personal matters without revealing their identity.
