Well as Corbyn wasn't the leader at the last election Jalima it would seem impossible to blame him for Labour's defeat. Personally as I have often said the problem is that the Labour party failed to show any real opposition to the austerity measures already introduced by the Coalition. No point in changing to someone else if all they are offering is the same as what you have. Labour needs to offer real alternatives to any such policies and show that they can help those who are feeling the pinch. I believe socialist policies can do this and Corbyn has such policies. There are others in the Labour party who also have such policies but none stood as leader.

I agree that it's a pity there isn't a stronger potential Leader at the moment. The longer Corbyn hangs on, the less credible a future Labour government seems.

But Blair stood down after winning three elections Jalima, Brown had a difficult election, Ed ,as I said in an earlier post just didn't seem strong enough and seemed an innocent, moving to the left cost him votes too and winning the leadership by union votes angered many who were sure David Milliband would win, in the leadership contest he won the members vote .

My concern is UKIP, every time Corbyn opens his mouth on the benefits of immigration and ignores voters fears he is strengthening the UKIP vote .
