Now we are all back home after our success at the GN Olympics, it is time to turn minds to the Xmas Panto.
So, all you thespians, get your thinking caps on and suggest what we can perform.
If there is a part for a fat, grumpy old git, then I am your man.

We could do "Pussy in Boots" (other chemists are available)

"Jack and his Beanstalk"

"Mother's been Goosed"

Not sure if these are quite correct. OH yes they are ........

Crafting, your dad born in the Rhondda , you choose which half of the dragon you want to be ?

millymouge Tue 27-Sept-16 10:03:06

Will the dragon be having real flames. If so we ought to get the fire service on board, or at the very least a very long hose.

Anniebach Tue 27-Sept-16 10:18:17

Yes real flames, it is a Welsh dragon grin I will bring my own fire extinguisher and fire blanket - I was in the scout movement

Wobblybits Tue 27-Sept-16 10:30:12

I'm sure some of our ladies would welcome a hunky fireman on standby -- or is that sexist ? I guess it is, so we will have a hunky fire person on standby.

Anniebach Tue 27-Sept-16 10:32:29

A hunky female doesn't realy appeal to me , unless my house was on fire

Wobblybits Tue 27-Sept-16 10:38:33

If we have a Welsh Dragon breathing fire all over the stage, it could be more than your house that was burning.

Anniebach Tue 27-Sept-16 11:08:26

Perhaps a flame throwing dragon was not one of my better ideas grin

Wobblybits Tue 27-Sept-16 11:17:18

Oh yes it is !!

millymouge Tue 27-Sept-16 11:31:48

Definitely must have one. Bet there aren't many flame throwing dragons in panto the days with all the rules and regs. At least on Gransnet we can get any with most things.

millymouge Tue 27-Sept-16 11:32:39

Sorry - away

Falconbird Tue 27-Sept-16 11:35:38

It's OK folks the flames will be virtual so we can have lots. Judthepud2 sorry I forgot you in the cast list, Tinkerbell with lots of fairy dust.

Wobblybits Tue 27-Sept-16 12:17:37

Perhaps we could have a Panto health and safety inspector, must be a source of many jokes.

Swanny Tue 27-Sept-16 14:13:22

Hmm, a Panto Inspector of Safety and Security. Now what could we call him ...?

Wobblybits Tue 27-Sept-16 14:25:34

Has to be something polite, after all he is an OFFicer.

Galen Tue 27-Sept-16 14:57:54

We had the firemen involved at a hilarious virtual party we held on Glastonbury Tor.
A cat/dog called Donald/Duncan got his rump burned and someone disappeared into the bushes with one of the firemen.

Wobblybits Tue 27-Sept-16 15:17:59

Anyone going into the bushes with the fire person must be accompanied the Panto health and safety inspector

Anniebach Tue 27-Sept-16 15:30:24

Spoil sport

Wobblybits Tue 27-Sept-16 15:58:36

It's ok if you have a justified reason for going into the bushes, like looking for Hanky Panky.

Pittcity Tue 27-Sept-16 18:17:16

He's in Aladdin isn't he,*wobbly*? A friend of Wishy Washy!

Wobblybits Tue 27-Sept-16 18:22:54

Thanks PC, I was trying to remember who he was, he was Wishy Washy's son I think.

Anniebach Tue 27-Sept-16 18:49:05

Does Hanky Panky sound like Alan Rickman and look like Monty Don? Not that I am interested, just curious wink

pollyperkins Tue 27-Sept-16 18:54:48

Can I be in the all singing, all dancing chorus please? Do we have a choreographer? I can sing harmony and have done some line dancing!

Falconbird Tue 27-Sept-16 19:42:13

On another thread Wobbly said Baron Hardup in Leiderhosen might look a bit too silly.

Oh no he wouldn't. smile

Wobblybits Tue 27-Sept-16 19:59:45

Oh yes he would. (have you seen my legs hmm

cornergran Tue 27-Sept-16 20:05:03

Can the cow have a dancing part, please? Well, the front end would like to, hope the back end will follow! With four legs we wouldn't need a partner. Can also tread on our own toes grin.
