Charleygirl lol, really sorry I missed seeing that! Although I am rather allergic to zimmer frames have fallen over MIL's and down the stairs.

I shall be the one handing out the boxes of chocolate covered Brazil nuts (real nuts, not Gransnetters! ).

You know the rules state that zimmers must be tethered to the diving platform!

I am exhausted, especially taking my zimmer frame on to the diving board. I needed it there, although I am okay on terra firma I am a bit unsteady 10 metres high. I was disqualified because I threw my zimmer frame down and it hit a judge. He will be able to judge if the equivalent of the NHS in Rio is better than ours here.

I've just got the silver medal in the GN Boxing for old Biddies Final. I hope you think I was quick on my feet. My left hook was right on target. It's a pity I took a standing count of 20 to get my breath back.

I shall be getting DH to rub arnica into my aching parts tonight.

See you shortly for our farewell to our Rio friends before we fly back to Bournemouth and then onwards home to show our families our medals, bruises, parking fines, bail documents, photos of the green pool, photo fit pictures received from the local police force.

Wow, fondant fancies, count me in!

I will bring along a dozen bucketsful of Pimms. I have persuaded some of the GB boxing team to give me a hand carrying them. I'm mixing it all up now with the non-business end of my brand new broomstick. I've bought 12 bottles of Cachaca to mix in with it - I've heard it's good stuff and I got a great deal from a very nice man I met in a bar. There is a little sign on the labels like the one on GandTea's axle grease, but I think it's just a distillery logo.

OMG (sorry, all the excitement has made me giddy as an adolescent), huge congrats to the GN triathlon three! Does that count as a triple triple or am I getting confused as well as giddy?

I'll have to give my summing up more thought. My first attempt at "a few words" would have landed me on the GN norty step rather than the podium.

Last Day of the GN Olympics. We have all, just about, survived and shown great skills in a variety of odd sports.

Please ALL assemble in the stadium for the Closing Ceremony tonight and a final farewell, beige cardigans optional.

Did you see that the Mumsnet team got disqualified for filling their trolley with helium balloons, might have got away with it but they let go at the finish and it sailed off into the sunset.

Nankate, you forgot to mention that I lost my saddle in the pogo stick race, I will say no more, but has anyone got one of those cushions with a hole in the middle.?

Wow GOLD, SILVER AND BRONZE in the Triathlon which consisted of a 5 mile lawn mowing, followed by a 5 mile pogo stick race, finished off with a 10 mile pushing a supermarket trolley up some Rio mountain.

Almost finished our two weeks of fun, games, and medals. Plus a few arrests

I am.amazed any of you have any energy left after two weeks, I know I don't have. Off for a nap this afternoon what ever is happening.
