It's been beautifully sunny here today but oh so windy. Can't have it all I guess . Pleased to report today's meander sorted the clothing, comfy and smart enough. Lots of smiling going on here , not least Mr C who not only likes shopping but has the patience of Job. A weight has lifted that's for sure. ann love the bag, hope afternoon tea was delicious. Like the sound of your salmon kitty, Mr C isn't a great lover of fish but if I carefully disguise it in a meat product he may eat it without complaint. You deserve your sit down soop, I actually enjoy ironing but it's a killer for energy and the back. I'm likely to disappear for a coup,e of days, hospital out patients tomorrow followed by family stuff and a full day away on Sarurday. Take care everyone. Wishing you .

Sad news from Nice this morning has left a grey cloud over me. Mans inhumanity to man knows no bounds.

Mumsy ah Pinterest is a whole different thing and as a poster there are far less options for your privacy. I did download an app( I forget the name) which allowed you to share photos JUST with named people . That worked very well for us until I changed my phone :-)

Ann lovely picture , and I am still loving the birthday bag ( now that can be taken in a number of ways !!!

I need cheering up , so DGS 3 & 4 will be visiting after pre school for a party . To celebrate the school holidays. I was face timed by Jackson who gave me his list of party essentials which included little sausages, pretty cakes and a pass the parcel !! Oh to be 4 again.

*NanaandGrampy" good to see that young Jackson knows exactly what he wants! At least little sausages and pretty cakes are not too difficult to produce- provided he does not want a personal present given to everybody who walks through the door. You will sleep well after producing that lot!

Ann I also loved the bag- you are obviously taking very good care of it.

So sad to hear about Nice.

Heard it before I went to bed. Kept mulling over it, feeling really sad. All those people celebrating The Bastille Day fireworks, all in good spirits. And then that. Poor people, including children, and all their families and friends, grandparents and so on. It's affected so many lives.

Party food sorted Charley , luckily no presents are expected and pass the parcel is filled with some toys they had here and some sweets from Nan's Sweetie box ! They don't mind that they already have the toys. Its the tension waiting to see if the music will stop that they love . Easy to please eh?

ah Kitty , I know what you mean, when they're poorly some TV and extra cuddles are all that's required ( and in our little ones case a 'poorly' bag with stuff like a tin of Heinz chicken soup in lol). Enjoy your cuddles and hope he feels better soon x

Really terrible news, real carnage.
I was in Mirande this morning, the Country Festival starts today and there were thousands of people around. But I noticed the Police seem to be trying to keep it all in one smallish area of the town, concerts and parking, and monitor the entry of vehicles. The supermarket I use is in the same area. The police must be very twitchy after last night.

Morale must be very low TF. Dd2 flying home from Toulouse tomorrow with her family, but I'm sure security will be very tight. Just can't stop thinking about those poor people and everyone else related in some way to them.

My sister flying from Bergerac tomorrow morning.

I've just realised that my bil is somewhere in the south of France with his caravan. He never has his phone switched on so his wife is waiting to hear from him.

When I heard the news from Nice, I was stunned. Then I saw the child's shoe lying in the road and thought, how would anyone, (especially a relative) recover from witnessing the needless death of a child.

NanaandGrampy I like the sound of Jackson's party arrangements. You certainly know how to please young folk. I remember well 'pass the parcel' and 'musical chairs' (when I was a wee girl) but, best of all, I enjoyed 'postman's knock'...

We visited our pal in the Care Home. He remains bed-bound. The recent infection has set him back, and he's very weary. He said that he often thinks of the "good times" that the gang of local friends have shared. We numbered eight. Now we're five.

This morning the journey to Campbeltown was hard going. The road was flooded in parts, and the spray made driving tricky. However, I coped.

I've used the exercise bike for twenty endless minutes. When I dismounted, my legs felt all woolly.

I'm thinking of Lona and imagining her enjoying arranging and re-arranging her possessions.

I thought she looked brilliantly turned out on her first day as PM - I know it's superficial to comment on how women politicians are turned out but honestly, she looked great, just like I hoped a new PM would

Flashing through while DD does (another) feed -I can honestly say I have never felt so knackered , but it is lovely being able to help. She looks a lot more rested (well did until an hour ago!) and littlest fella has put on 200g since Monday
