Well my question about B&B was because I think quite a few of us might be emigrating!!
S*d the quality of the broadband, look at that view and the quality of life!
DH was getting the first of 2 bags of a blood transfusion as I left him this evening, but he is not downhearted and the anti-b's seem to be doing their stuff as his face is no longer etched with pain lines. ?
I on the other hand got soaked through to my knickers (right way round) just dashing the 20 yards or so to the car WITH an umbrella. The rain/hail was coming sideways and I then had to sit on a damp car seat for half an hour driving home !!
Wimbledon soon!

Alea so pleased to hear that your DH is having a blood transfusion this evening and that he is slowly looking better. It appears to me that your knickers are causing you many problems so have you considered going knickerless to see if that will help!

Seriously you were unfortunate catching such a heavy downpour- it became very dark in London for a short time but we did not have any rain. Once you are dried out and managed to relax I hope that you sleep well.

soop the rate at which we are racing through this kitchen means that the extension will be required maybe in a couple of weeks.

After a week of hubby and I trying to get the washing machine to behave and do what it should, we`ve bitten the bullet and ordered a new one. I was having trouble with the John Lewis website, so I rang them, spoke to a really nice, helpful, young sounding lady, who explained where I was going wrong, then asked if I`d like her to put the order through for me there and then. So full marks to John Lewis for customer service.
Alea, you`ll be running out of knickers if the weather doesn`t fine up!

Doing a quick pack today as we're off to Bournemouth for a couple of days tomorrow to celebrate my brother and sisters birthday with an afternoon tea in the garden( please be kind weather !) .The rest of today will be taken up with the 'BIG Tidy'. We've bitten the bullet and have estate agents coming to value the house prior to putting it on the market .

nanaandgrampy. Best of luck with the BIG Tidy! It's so difficult keeping the house immaculate in case somebody wants to view it especially if you often look after grandchildren. And what's wrong with having a few toys strewn across the floor - as long as nobody falls over them?
There used to be programmes on the tele. telling you how to prepare your house for selling and advising removing all photos and personal effects. How unrealistic!
Best of luck. We all know how stressful house buying and selling can be.

soop I stepped on the scales this am and quickly stepped off- it is Alea's fault as we all well know. The ice cream that she recommended was delicious- I have not eaten all of it, it is in a tub, I savour each mouthful.

I am blessed with so many supermarkets within less than 5 miles drive. One, Waitrose is around a mile away and Lidl has bought an old Comet so that should be up and running within a few months I would think. The large Sainsburys I visited yesterday is marginally over 2 miles away. There are advantages to living in London and where I am situated, it is like living in the country.

Charleyg I "lost" our scales. They were not accurate.
