? thought that would be a good idea. So if someone is annoying you and you wish to say so perhaps rather than ruining the conversation you could refer the person to whom you wish to have a go at to this thread and then you could argue to your hearts content, being a pain in the ass to everyone else.

This is going to be so popular I just know it is??????????

Whitewave That made me smile. I'd better be careful, otherwise I can see my name cropping up a lot.

Anya Sat 28-May-16 08:40:02

Being a total wimp I might get some tips?

ffinnochio Sat 28-May-16 08:43:29

ww do you mean without being a pain in the ass to everyone else? confused

Anya Sat 28-May-16 08:44:44

A sort of hyperspace version of 'meet you outside' ...or like 'see you on the argument thread' grin

Perhaps we ought to ask GNHQ for a special emoticon....a raised fist maybe?

whitewave Sat 28-May-16 08:49:55

Yes I do anya

petra Sat 28-May-16 08:53:26

Whitewave You don't come across as a wimp to me. You come across as a nice person. Although we disagree on a certain subject your replies are always polite and reasoned and not pointy fingered.

whitewave Sat 28-May-16 08:54:36

blush

Anya Sat 28-May-16 08:55:30

True petra

Anya Sat 28-May-16 08:57:05

I don't think this thread is quite going in the direction the OP had anticipated grin

whitewave Sat 28-May-16 08:57:52

You haven't quite got the point -this is an argument thread - not being nice thread???????

ffinnochio Sat 28-May-16 09:00:09

I thought Inhad got the point!

whitewave Sat 28-May-16 09:02:00

Whose Inhad?

Anya Sat 28-May-16 09:02:16

Blimey! We're even agreeing when our posts cross wink

Anya Sat 28-May-16 09:03:03

STOP making me grin

Elegran Sat 28-May-16 09:06:39

It is a good idea, ww but I don't think it would work as you plan. When someone says something that gets someone else's back up, they tend to reply close to that post, whether it is to argue about a point or to comment on the tone of the post.

Nor can I see the offender being a***d to go to another thread to find what was being said about them - they would either answer the complaint on the original thread or ignore it completely (as in water off a Teflon duck's back).

Perhaps we need two argument threrads - one for the five minute argument, one for the half-hour one.

No we don't.
Yes we do.
No.
Yes.
Are you deaf? I said NO WE DON'T.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 28-May-16 09:23:01

Why do I seem to have got a total sense of humour failure this morning?

trisher Sat 28-May-16 09:36:50

Elegran "That's not argument that's just contradiction." Monty Python anyone?

wot Sat 28-May-16 09:45:03

STITCH THAT, PAL!!!!!!!grin

Elegran Sat 28-May-16 09:50:28

Time's up. Next! If you wanted the half-hour argument why did you book the five-minute one?

whitewave Sat 28-May-16 09:50:42

You'll come to in a minute jing

whitewave Sat 28-May-16 09:51:13

Or should that be too?
