I am not driving us, rosesarered we have to set off by 6 ? and I hate trying to find my way to a new place. So hiring a car/driver like when we go to London. But Inagree, 7 am might have been a good time to find a space, especially as we at long last havebour blue badge. But I'm not doing stress too well these days and this saves a lot of stress.
annsixty it sounds as if you had a useful visit to the Eye hospital and do hope it will have helped to cheer you up a bit. Sometimes life can really get on top of us. Now I am going to take extreme exception to the Bigger Buns comment Never having been over endowed in the buns department, with our without cherries on the top, I think this is a very non-PC bunnist remark and I shall probably flounce around a bit and report it. ?????

Alea I do hope things go ok for you and your DH tomorrow. I think you are right about not driving. It can add to the stress.

On the subject of these buns I am with you on this. I think we should get in a real huff about it and demand that all buns are banned from now on.........or we could make the point that they don't make diamonds the size of bricks ..

If we are going to get down to brass tacks I only have one and a half buns, but the "good one" more than compensates. I just lean to one side when I walk. Is this TMI?

I bake every Wednesday for my work colleagues so I am aware of the therapeutic qualities of cake
My sister is a wonderful Flouncer, we called her Sarah Bernhardt when she was small because of all The Dramatics!

Best wishes for your DH's procedure Alea. I hope it really helps him and you can relax into some boring "normal" life again. With plenty of time for new baby cuddles.

alea, I'm sure MrA's surgery will go fine and he will be up and about in no time. But it is essential that you pander to his every whim for at least a month, all his favorite food, peeled grapes, soothed brow, chilled wine, I'm sure you get the picture. After about a year he might be able to help with some light chores, but not before.

Alea I meant to tell you, that there is a really nice League Of Friends cafe on the ground floor ( which is called level 2) really fresh and good food for a small price( at the JR) it kept me going recently.

I think I've caught up with everyone's news and I'm just popping some nice breakfast buns on the worktop. They have chopped bacon in and are topped with cheese - sorry, no cherries!!

Dd has been discharged with a diagnosis of 'the start of an ulcer', a weeks worth of antacids and instructions to go back to the gp if the pain persists. Despite the usual perceptions, her primary care treatment was fantastic, her treatment on admission was too. She had a wait for her endoscopy but only overnight but she has only seen a senior doctor once and she is still in pain. There has been no advice about a cause or future avoidance.

I hope things are going well for everyone.

kitty I hope your daughter finds the antacids help with the problem. Would a dietary change help maybe? I don't know much about ulcers but surely there's something they could advise to help prevent a full blown ulcer.

This really is the final word on my buns. I would not feel comfy with a cherry scone Lona it would crumble and itch,think crumbs in bed, but staying with the food theme I of the have a very effective large chicken fillet, and that really is what they are jokingly called and it is a very good description.
Good luck to Alea's H today and your D kitty. My eye is scratchy this morning but I am so pleased it is done and that I didn't have time to worry about it. I will still need the injections for the time being but hopefully, less frequently.
