Can't stand roughmabs myself

It's now necessary to refer to every man as a gentleman, even if he's in the news for beating up his partner and conning old folk out of their life savings. The media has gentlemen and the police calls us males and females.
Our local paper reported a police officer saying an "elderly female" had been rescued. This makes me MAD.

You know what I mean there are certain qualities than makes a man a cut above the ordinary.

Real men dont dominate, they let you be yourself, they don't expect you to be velcroed to them all the time.

Someone who is considerate and respectful to people, not full of their own importance. My DH is usually one.....but not if you get on the wrong side of him.

Nomination for a gentleman, David Attenborough certainly fits the bill. Characteristics of a gentleman: modest, considerate, well mannered, tolerant, thoroughly decent man. My Dad was a gentleman and DH does well on the gentleman scale. Sadly there do not seem to be too many gentlemen around these days, it is the age of the "bloke".
