Personally my hackles went up as I've no problem with Nicola Sturgeon, but was quite happy for the others to be sacrificed do that doesn't say much about my impartiality.

However, two adjectives were applied to her. 'Stupid' she ain't, but using the word 'bitch' is not acceptable nor is it funny. It is sexist and it's about time our own sex took a good look at the way we describe women we don't like.

Having calmed down somewhat this morning and leaving aside the racist/sexist argument, I am genuinely curious to know why

1) No one has leapt to the defence of Tony Blair or David Cameron (Mugabe is indefensible.

2) What harm has Nicola Sturgeon done to you that merits a place on a 'most hated' list?

One thing that surprises me about this thread is that not everyone objected to "bitch". I find that to be an awfully derogatory word, certainly one I would never use, horrid.
"Silly Cow/Moo" and "Silly mare" I do use, as does Mrs P,, but only about each other, never to a third party as that would be extremely wrong. Mrs. P and I understand the meaning behind it, and it is usually deserved -- already has been today, as we have had a really stupid day. Mrs P spent ages organising the weekend as we have friends visiting, she organised the menu and got me to organise the outings. An hour later, she announced that it was different friends that were coming and only for the evening, silly cow, moment. (BTW I got the blame for not realising her mistake)

Re the previous joke, I may not agree with any of Nichola Sturgeon's political views but I would not call her a bitch, that is uncalled for.
