Went for coffee with a mate then to the supermarket. Half way round, my phone rang. It was my friend with a tale of woe. He had left his shopping in the cafe and was then at work. I'll collect it and drop it off, says I. On my way back to the car with his shopping I tripped, probably in a pothole, and staggered forward, finally making a soft landing square onto his shopping! He'd bought M&S minestrone soup which burst and covered everything else. His packs of bread buns were flattened. Luckily he hadn't bought eggs! I was helped up by a very kind lady who probably thought I was drunk blush. I parked outside my friend's workplace to clean up the mess in his shopping bag and repack it into one of mine. Then I had to go in and explain to him why his shopping reeked of minestrone. Originally, he was pleased when I offered to collect the bag! Still, no other damage done except a slight friction burn on my elbow. Lucky it wasn't my teeth!

Oh, Imperfect27! grin This reminds me so much of when my DH got stuck in the coal hole, trying to get into his mum and dad's house when he'd lost his key, aged 16. He had to wait there, just head and shoulders sticking out, calling for help until a grumpy neighbour walked by and hauled him up.
