We have just acquired new neighbours. They seem very nice, are making changes to the garden, helping DH put up new fence after it blew down the other weekend. The only problem seems to be the language they use when they have visitors. DH and I never swore In front of our children apart from the occasional s** t or bu**er, although I know that DH uses more c olourful language at work in an all male environment, but never when there are females around. I find liberal use of the f word, and worse, offensive, and am also worried that our small grandson, who visits regularly and is at a stage where he is learning new words and copying what people say, might pick up on their language. I can't really ask them to moderate their language when we are the garden can I? But I don't want to have to stay indoors or wear ear defenders either! Not sure if they do child size! Your thoughts would be appreciated. DH says we just have to put up with it because that's how people speak nowadays.
