Thinking this would be a better name for this site, I've never read such a load of grumpy, negative, twittering posts in my life. It makes depressing reading and remind me of my late MiL for whom nothing was ever right.

Don't want to contribute to a honeymoon because you had ten Pyrex dishes and six coffee pots and that's how it ought to be? Never mind that today's young people will have to both work (until they're 70 at this rate) and struggle to pay for child care, so this might be the last carefree holiday they have until they retire.

Don't approve of the NHS One You initiative because you know it all and anyway you've no intention of changing your lifestyle, while at the same time moaning that the NHS is not performing well (due to the population eating itself into obesity)

Can't think of one positive thing to say about this government forgetting that there was 'nothing left' as truly stated in the note from the outgoing last lot.

I could go on but as I've offended almost everyone by now I'd better stop.

FHS it's getting so depressing just signing in to GN and I wonder what GNHQ think about us. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to answer to most AIBU questions with a loud, resounding YES

lights the blue touch paper and retires

And sounds like Christmas????????

Nonnie Tue 22-Mar-16 15:25:00

Really? When did she disappear? As I am often off GN for weeks at a time I miss so much.

Ana Tue 22-Mar-16 15:42:39

She posted on the Ask Emma Bridgewater thread yesterday, so she's still with us!

Jalima Tue 22-Mar-16 15:53:43

Relieved to hear your news wot, anxiety like that does leave you drained afterwards (adrenaline surge followed by a slump).

annsixty Tue 22-Mar-16 15:55:16

I think she posted this a.m. will check.

wot Tue 22-Mar-16 15:57:40

And my friend's old doggy who had gone right down hill is better today. She's waiting for his blood test results. Also, I think it's giving her a chance to come to terms with him going.

JBF posted on the thread Ruby started this morning. She has been very quiet these last few days.

Ana Tue 22-Mar-16 16:06:24

Can't blame her after the unpleasant posts directed her way on a certain thread last week. It's enough to get anyone down...

annsixty Tue 22-Mar-16 16:46:12

She is quite capable of giving back as good as she gets.

POGS Tue 22-Mar-16 16:47:18

I'm not grumpy. I'm just a miserable old sod.

Pompa one of my best friends chose Israel singing Somewhere Over The Rainbow for her funeral. Bitter sweet memories but after Judy Garland the best performance of such an iconic song. Granddaughter ' tried ' to learn to play the ukulele and I was sooooo pleased when she packed up. grin.

See I admit to being a misery guts.wink

wot Tue 22-Mar-16 16:56:50

Ana, was that irony??

Ana Tue 22-Mar-16 17:21:11

No.

I'd like to know if the grumpy ones are only grumpy on here. I know that some subjects and some posters bring out the worst in me.

pompa Wed 23-Mar-16 15:26:54

I'm definitely grumpier in real life.

Galen Wed 23-Mar-16 16:17:30

And me!

Badenkate Wed 23-Mar-16 17:46:30

I'm only grumpy when I'm in queues - and then I could grump for England.

merlotgran Wed 23-Mar-16 18:04:54

Well I was jolly grumpy after the cream leaked all over the rest of my shopping in Aldi today.

I pointed out to the checkout girl that there was a crack in the carton so she handed me a J cloth. angry

pompa Wed 23-Mar-16 18:26:24

I;ve been grumpy today, trying to find out where all the duff data came from on Mrs Ps new iPhone.

Synonymous Wed 23-Mar-16 19:06:46

merlot (since this is being grumpygrin) I would probably have just walked out and left them to sort it out themselves especially if handed a flipping J cloth! Glad to do my shopping online!

Jalima Wed 23-Mar-16 19:53:34

I am grumpy with my tablet. It drives me crackers.

Jalima Wed 23-Mar-16 19:57:57

I am usually a little ray of sunshine apart from stressing about the tablet and sometimes I feel grumpy when I have been on here grin

(can we have a grumpy emoticon please)
