Thinking this would be a better name for this site, I've never read such a load of grumpy, negative, twittering posts in my life. It makes depressing reading and remind me of my late MiL for whom nothing was ever right.

Don't want to contribute to a honeymoon because you had ten Pyrex dishes and six coffee pots and that's how it ought to be? Never mind that today's young people will have to both work (until they're 70 at this rate) and struggle to pay for child care, so this might be the last carefree holiday they have until they retire.

Don't approve of the NHS One You initiative because you know it all and anyway you've no intention of changing your lifestyle, while at the same time moaning that the NHS is not performing well (due to the population eating itself into obesity)

Can't think of one positive thing to say about this government forgetting that there was 'nothing left' as truly stated in the note from the outgoing last lot.

I could go on but as I've offended almost everyone by now I'd better stop.

FHS it's getting so depressing just signing in to GN and I wonder what GNHQ think about us. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to answer to most AIBU questions with a loud, resounding YES

lights the blue touch paper and retires

How does joint posting work? confused Does one do the typing whist the other finds the emoti? Are you next door neighbours? Are you sitting side by side on the sofa?

Av1dreader Sat 26-Mar-16 10:44:02

Just been reading the Ash tree thread it's far too light hearted for my mood this morning lol. I am stuck in bed with the flu, my 2 day mini break was shortened as I was so unwell we came home after 1 day. Now I am missing a family outing to the trampoline park, not that I do it but it's good to watch the action. I hope I am allowed downstairs this afternoon for a bit as all the family are here for a meal. But DH and DS1 who live here say I am contagious, they are sort of jesting. Anyway on day 5 now and second day of antibiotics so hopefully will improve soon. Happy Easter all.

Miserable morning here, but perfect for a chocolate fest. Need to buy an egg or something for DH this morning when he's out.

Don't worry Pompa by a cunning process of looking at times I found your sunshine post but I was smiling already at an example of what my Dad used to refer to as "unconscious humour" well spotted by anya!

pompa Sat 26-Mar-16 07:16:33

You've found it Jane - like you I steer clear of religion & politics, far too polarised.

Jane10 Sat 26-Mar-16 07:10:14

Oooh which thread? I don't want to have to go through them all -there's ones I'm swerving for BP reasons!

I'm a sun worshipper as well. I'd have supported Akhnaten in ancient Egypt
