Luckygirl, I am not sure in what context you were investigating poppers. Duvets and baby grows and party poppers didn't seem to be the correct answer.

Actually i now precer buttons on duvet covers because poppers ( presstuds) seem to stop working after a while. ( i have to admit some of my covers are ancient single pnes from when my offspring were little, now used for grandchildren)

yes I remember bracelet poppers - I used to love them.

I did hear the relevant gay MP explaining them on the Radio - it's some sort of muscle relaxant to make sex more enjoyable/slower, mainly for gays but also used by heteros. So that went well. Too much information to my mind, keep sex private to a greater extent and why on earth he had to be interviewed on Radio 4 about it is beyond me!

Feel as if this thread is slightly beyond me but definitely prefer buttons and button holes on duvet covers when you can get them as poppers can just come off still fastened if you pull too hard on them.

Oh yes Badenkate ........poppers......plastic beads that popped together to make necklaces...........I'd forgotten all about those. Very therapeutic and satisfying......loved making them.

Paynes poppets-yum - can't get them now sadly.

We used to call them press studs. Wouldn't that be less confusing.
