Which dog are you?

My cocker spaniel is blonde, good natured, lively and very beautiful with huge expressive liquid brown eyes? I am not like her at all. I think I'd be a wire haired terrier. A bit yappy but loving and nosy.

I've had some lovely mutts over the years and currently have a gang of first cross mixed breeds - deliberate mixed breeds. I don't think any of them have personality disorders, despite descending from pedigrees. One of them is a tad highly strung (pedigree red cocker spaniel for a mother) but he is defo not personality disordered, just a bit special.

Great question Alea. I rather wanted to be an Afghan Hound, loping along, hair flying, slim, athletic and beautiful. Ah well, mutt it is.

According to Grandchildren I look and behave like my Cairn Terrier Molly!!! .She has rough curly coat and brown eyes, and is always up for a walk, and is very stubborn,- but very affectionate to those she loves. I have a mop of Curly wild frizzy hair, like to be outdoors, love my family to bits, and I'm well aware I can be very stubborn- no one can talk me into anything I dont want to do. Not very good with people I dont know well. (Sad I know).

Must add, he's extremely cute....

I'm like my (not absolutely typical) English Springer Spaniel. I have to be persuaded to go out but once I'm out, I enjoy a walk in most weathers. If I have nothing to do, I do nothing extremely well! I am affectionate with people I know well but a little wary of getting too close to anyone else. I have a tendency to be mad as a matter but hide it better than my dog does!

No, Alea a lovely white English bull terrier, like our long lamented one and our grand dog. We think they are beautiful. They do become a bit of an obsession and when we see them out and about we always stop and chat to them.

I can think of a couple of possible other Staffies-look fierce, but dead soft on the inside, bark worse than their bite? Anyone own up?

Greyhounds can eat as much as they like and don't get fat! How good is that!

Alea I like the sound of that,can you get a chubby greyhound,I like the nice studded diamond collars for my graceful neck..yes I'll take that,I am a greyhound......do I chase my tail,I often feel I am going round in circles

I don't like going out in the wet weather, but I enjoy fine weather walks. I often rush around in crazy circles but sometimes go into a trance and do nothing. I am good tempered if people are kind to me and a bit funny looking. I am a bull terrier!

You sound very like a (retired) greyhound, downtoearth. They are wimps don't like wind, rain, mud, cold, too much exercise, mess or running around .
A comfy billet with a sofa and a fire as well as lots of cuddles just about fits the bill.

I like to be well groomed,I dont like wind,rain,cold, heat,dirt,mud ,mess or running around activities,I like to to curl up and be petted and bought tit bits(dosent happen mind you),I can be aloof,and can "do" disdain quite easily.....once upon a time I thought Labrador but the older I get I am going to have to be a handbag type albeit a hefty one one and I dont yap but do have an impressive growl,but my bark is worse than my bite..... OH I always say he is a Jack Russell small wiry runs around a terrier with something he wont let go of...

The point of the thread is "which breed of dog *would you be*" , not your favourite and unless you have exceedingly nimble paws, I think I had realised you are a person.
(So, of course, is my dog)

But if I have to be a dog. I'd definitely be a mongrel- pedigree dogs too often have personality disorders and think they are better than others ;)

I love almost all dogs and always find these sort of questions like 'what's your favourite bird, flower, etc' just impossible to respond too.

I said almost because I can't stand yap yap toy dogs, especially those carried everywhere and that wear 'clothes' (don't mind a proper dog coat agains the cold). I prefer larger dogs, but now I am older, will probably go for a medium size dog like a middle size Schnauzer - as long as it is hugely intelligent.

I am also a cat I think. Would love to sleep a lot- food appearing without any effort, cuddles when I want them, nobody would mind if I retired upstairs for a few hours and then joined the company again when or if I wanted. No responsibilities and also enjoy my own company.

I'm one of the cats. Don't mind my own company and like to be stroked every so often.

On the theme of people looking like their dogs, has anybody else noticed that the vicar's husband on Gogglebox looks exactly like their dog - well, it's face that is! ( We often get treated to a good view of it's nether regions.)

I think I'm like my late, much loved Rhodesian Ridgeback - Protective, a bit over enthusiastic, food loving and the first one on the sofa when the fire's lit.

Now I see ariadne as a calm and sensible Golden Retriever, Anniebach you have to be a Welsh Terrier, and Galen a wise and stately Great Dane.
Phoenix, ever enthusiastic and optimistic is an English Setter, while Soop is a poodle with a chic and wonderful topknot!
