Late Christmas Card

I had a card today with the 16th on the postmark. I just wonder where it has been for the last 13 days??

Early December 2013 a friend sent a Christmas card to DD in Beijing. It arrived in October 2014 just a wee bit early for Christmas 2014. They both thought it something to laugh over. DD and GSs are still waiting for the 2 letters I sent from Oz in November. DS and GSs in Spain got theirs (posted at the same time) within 4 days
I am notorious for sending birthday cards late and so far have never lost any friends over it. Life is much too short to let such things spoil a friendship.

No, there was no need to add ' it arrived today' that was just telling you that you didn't send it early enough.Only you know this person well, it's not a big deal,but obviously it is for her!

Good gracious.. mountain /molehill... if you don't like the woman don't send anymore communications to her. Maybe she was surprised it took so long to get to her...some people love a moan!

DECISION has been made, husband agrees, this cousin has caused
too much aggravation year after year and she is being removed
from our mailing list. Mission accomplished

OMG what a first world problem.

Christmas cards were stopped years ago in our famiy. Popularity contests? My neighbours put the few they have on the windowsills and posted them through the door. Glad the post office have caused the traditionists to consider the cost which is too much for people you never see.

Other people's behaviour is fascinating to me. Often makes me count my blessings.

My birthday is on the 11th. My card from DD didn't arrive until the 17th. My DD was beginning to panic as she had enclosed a gift card. She put a first class stamp on it and posted it on the 8th to give it plenty of time! "Post early for Christmas". Phooey!
