I can't say whether it works or not, because we've never had any left over.

We have one of those gizmos to keep champagne fizzy.
Otherwise pop a teaspoon (handle down of course ) in the top of the bottle and it keeps it quite fizzy.

Otherwise take it up to bed with you (on the grounds that if you drink it downstairs you may not get up the stairs)

Real lightweight me when it comes to alcohol. I've bought myself some Sloe Gin so will get quietly sozzled in the corner!

I haven't had any for years, made some about 15 years ago and gave it all away.
I wanted to make some this year but haven't got round to it....I think it's a bit late for sloe picking now. I was waiting for a frost but now realise I could have just bunged them in the freezer instead, doh!

Damsons are just as good but still too late for this year. I only drink it neat and it's delicious (and alcoholic).
