In the wee small hours

I am not usually about at this time in the morning, but I have a nasty cough and throat infection and I am sitting up in bed sipping hot ginger and lemon to stop me waking up DH again with the incessant coughing.

I notice Grandma is also about and posting, so I thought this could be a good thread to come to for insomniacs and anyone else who is awake in the early hours. Just for a chat.

Hope to be nodding off soon listening to Classic FM. moon

Grace is worrying her poorly tail despite both a basket muzzle and a "buster collar" aka cone of shame, and has had me up twice already so I thought I'd just sit up for a bit with her and play on here. Nobody is going to be sitting up with her when she is in kennels while we are away. Why oh why do these things happen when you can least cope?
She is back at the vet at 9.30 in the morning and DH is also going to be on the phone to the health centre to try to get an appointment for himself. We are off on Friday to DD's wedding on Saturday, as if I didn't have enough to worry about.
The house is a bit cold at 4a.m. and I could do with my sleep.
Sympathies to all of you who are thinking "Tell me about it" moonmoon

I hope you are both snoozing nicely now (catching up)

Oh dear Alea. You have a lot on your plate. Grace will be fine in the kennels. You just concentrate on enjoying the wedding. flowers

Got to sleep at 4 ish and now sitting up in bed eating breakfast so am on the mend thanks Jing.

Poor you Alea do hope Grace can be sorted by the vet and your DH looked after too. Yes tricky things often happen at awkward times. However you have got 3 days for improvements in both animal and human.

Have a wonderful day on Saturday at your DD's wedding and when you have time come back here and tell us all about it. flowers

Hope you eventually got some sleep Alea. Enjoy the wedding. Did you find some suitable jewellery in the end?
