...she says making her 4th. And I've had a cappuccino out earlier too. Will probably have at least one more (usually herbal) before bed which brings my total to 6 or so cups of something a day. Sounds a lot when I add it up... Sure I shouldn't be having so much caffeine! brew brew brew brew brew brew

I don't like tea or coffee (or alcohol), so drink tap water. I rarely feel thirsty therefore have to remind myself to drink throughout the day.[boring emoticon]

Well a modest amount compared to some of you.tchgrin
Tea with breakfast
Coffee mid morning
Coffee with lunch
Tea in afternoon
Sometimes coffee in the evening.
So in answer to the op two.

I have a double size mug of tea first thing. I can't do or think anything before I've had that. Then I might have a single sized one with my breakfast. I have my one cup of coffee mid morning, another tea with my lunch and another in the afternoon. I often have a rooibos about nine in the evening. I wish I could give up sugar in my tea (I only have one teaspoon), but I can't. I don't take it in coffee though - strange. But as I am not overweight and don't eat puddings, I don't think it matters.

Two cups of gnat's p**s tea a day, and if I go out with friends I have a coffee. Other liquids from water, fruit juice, wine

About 8 mugs a day if I'm at home! De-caffeinated though. Not keen on coffee. I do drink water as well. It's a wonder I get through the night. grin

I've had lots today. Mug of tea first thing from teasmade (wonderful machine,) decaf coffee at eleven then about four cups of tea at very posh afternoon tea in private stately home with friends (paid for, not as guests), and a mug of tea with DH as he ate his meal. I am still full of sandwiches, scones etc. so haven't eaten yet.

Sometimes one mug of tea, about 5 mugs of coffee every day. Apart from that only water, no alcohol.

NotTooOld Tue 08-Dec-15 21:17:05

Tea in bed, thanks to DH, water with breakfast, coffee mid-morning, tea after lunch, tea in the afternoon, water with evening meal....so, that's three teas and one coffee. I think I should probably drink more.

I've never been a big tea drinker. On average, no more than one cup a day, and it will be either rooibos, fruit or peppermint. I can't drink bog standard tea. Just the smell makes me feel queasy. Coffee? Four or five a day. Usually instant.

I do not have more than one cup of anything in a day. This is not deliberate, it just seems to have happened. Tea, fruit tea, coffee, water, fruit juice, fruit cordial, not necessarily in that order. For some reason there do not seem to be any beverages, hot or cold, that I really like, so that probably explains why I drink so many different things once only.

6 or 7 teas during the day and usually a cappuccino as well.

janeainsworth Tue 08-Dec-15 22:48:15

Two (occasionally 3) large mugs of tea and a cup of coffee. Several glasses of water.
I'm just off to bed with my Ovaltine. moon

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 08-Dec-15 22:49:37

I just hope you clean your teeth after drinking that. tchhmm

Nelliemoser Tue 08-Dec-15 22:58:29

6 or seven mugs of tea a day is not unusual for me. I dont drink coffee now.

Eloethan Wed 09-Dec-15 00:24:55

Freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning, about 4 cups of black tea (made with loose tea in a tea pot) and a couple of glasses of sparkling water. I can't drink coffee - gives me a headache and indigestion.

jogginggirl Wed 09-Dec-15 00:40:39

One cup of white tea - no milk or sugar and a hot chocolate mid-morning.....that's it... The water ...... maybe some wine - much later though .....LOL

feetlebaum Wed 09-Dec-15 07:08:16

One mug ( = 2 cups?) Assam.

mumofmadboys Wed 09-Dec-15 07:45:39

I drink about 8 mugs of tea per day,no coffee

Lona Wed 09-Dec-15 07:47:56

jings You're telling Janea about brushing her teeth?! grin

janeainsworth Wed 09-Dec-15 09:37:09

blush I have it quite weak and don't add any sugar. In theory the milk has a protective effect and if you clean your teeth beforehand that should be ok. wink

Stansgran Wed 09-Dec-15 10:14:07

Jane as a dentist you should know and you have eradicated years of guilt in one fell swoop . Often get up to make a drink after I've cleaned my toothipegs when I can't fall asleep and feel guilty for stumbling back to bed.

Maranta Wed 09-Dec-15 10:35:12

Good, I too can stop feeling guilty about drinking my Ovaltine last thing in bed! Thanks Jane.

When I was teaching I had to have a large mug of weak tea at each break to keep my voice from giving out. I'd have at least four mugsful. Now I am retired and busy doing other things I forget to drink enough and get very thirsty.

Usually I have a large breakfast cup of good Kenyan ground coffee in the morning, tea at lunchtime and afternoon tea before a final cup after dinner.

I love tea but drink it very weak indeed.
